Objective:(1)To understand the current status of cognitive practice of hospital infection prevention and control among nurses in general wards of 3A-class comprehensive hospitals in Shanxi Province;(2)To analyze the influencing factors affecting the cognitive practice of hospital infection prevention and control in nurses in general wards of tertiary general hospitals in Shanxi Province;(3)To explore the intervention mode of hospital infection prevention and control cognitive practice of nurses in general ward and to improve the cognitive level of hospital infection control and the practice level of hospital infection control measures,so as to provide reference for hospital managers to further carry out hospital infection management and prevention and control in general ward.Contents and Meathods:The survey research: To investigate the cognitive practice of hospital infection prevention and control in general surgery department,hematology department and other common wards of 8 3A-class comprehensive hospitals of Shanxi Province using the self-designed nurses of the general hospital ward infection prevention and control cognitive practice questionnaire and analyze its influencing factors.The intervention study: Through convenient sampling,125 nurses from general wards such as general surgery and cardiology in a 3A-class comprehensive hospitals in TaiyuanCity,Shanxi Province were selected as research objects and a multi-dimensional comprehensive intervention based on the theory of planned behavior was implemented.Before and 12 weeks after the intervention,the cognitive level of the subjects in the prevention and control of nosocomial infection was investigated,and their behaviors were observed and recorded.The effects of the intervention measures were evaluated by comparing the cognitive and behavioral changes of nurses in general wards before and after the intervention.Results:(1)The scores of nurse hospital infection prevention and control knowledge,attitude and behavior compliance in the general ward of 3A-class comprehensive hospitals in Shanxi Province were separately(7.69±1.32),(53.32±6.09)and(54.80±5.87);and they were positively correlated(P<0.001);(2)Factors affecting the cognitive practice of hospital infection prevention and control in general ward nurses include: the nurse-patient ratio of the department,number of school education and training,number of continuing education and training,degree of leadership attention,degree of Self attention,and membership of Hospital infection control team;(3)After the implementation of the multi-dimensional comprehensive intervention method based on the theory of planned behavior,the knowledge and attitude scores of hospital infection prevention and control in general ward nurses were improved,and the scores before and after intervention were statistically significant(P<0.001).After the intervention,the nurse’s hospital infection prevention and control behavior has also been greatly improved,Hand hygiene compliance rate increased from 40.07% to 51.32%,the correct rate increased from 43.12% to 53.15%,the equipped ratetreatment vehicle(tray)-side quick-drying hand disinfectant increased from 65.34% to 84.75%;the qualified rate of classified treatment of medical waste increased from 69.38% to 93.91%;the compliancerate of masks increased from 88.98% to 97.11%,and the correct rate increased from59.68% to 87.89%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion:(1)The cognitive practice of hospital infection prevention and control in general ward nurses is at a medium level,and there is a positive correlation between knowledge and attitude,knowledge and behavior,attitude and behavior;(2)The cognitive practice level of hospital infection prevention and control of nurses in general ward is affected by the nurse-patient ratio of the department,number of school education and training,number of continuing education and training,degree of leadership attention,degree of Self attention,and membership of Hospital infection control team;(3)The multi-dimensional comprehensive intervention method based on the theory of planned behavior can promote the cognitive and practice of nosocomial infection prevention and control of nurses in general ward.
