The Study Of The Theory Of Tibetan Orifices In TCM Based On Infrared Thermal Imaging Technology "Kidney Opening To The Ear"

Objective: In traditional Chinese medicine,the theory of " Tibetan orifices " is closely related to the kidney and the ear,that is," Kidney Opening to the ear ".Based on the infrared thermal imaging technology,this paper observed the corresponding relationship between the temperature of the kidney area and the temperature of the ear by moxibustion at human mingmen point,to explore the correlation between kidney and ears,with a visual experimental method of traditional Chinese medicine " theory of viscera and the orifices" kidney begin to understand the "ear" the theory point of view,to provide support for TCM viscera-state theory,according to the more powerful the viscera-state theory applied to clinical or basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine teaching.At the same time for the infrared thermal imaging technology and the modern inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine research direction,the modern high-tech for medical imaging diagnosis.Methods: By moxibustion at mingmen point,the temperature of kidney area and orifices of the subjects before and after moxibustion was detected.The experimental study in this paper is to use infrared thermal imager to take infrared pictures of the subjects under the condition of ensuring the indoor temperature and humidity to reach the standard,and record the temperature of the subjects at kidney area,eyes,nose,lips and ears before and after moxibustion.The measurement data were represented by mean plus or minus standard deviation,and the collected data were processed by paired t-test and unitary linear regression analysis in statistics.The temperature of mingmen point,kidney area,eyes,nose,lips and ears of the subjects before and after moxibustion were compared,And the linear regression analysis of the difference between the temperature of the kidney area and the eyes,nose,lips,ears before and after moxibustion.Results: The temperature of mingmen point,kidney area,eyes,nose,lips and ears of the subjects before and after moxibustion showed statistically significant difference(P<0.05).And the linear regression analysis of the difference between the temperature of the kidney area before and after moxibustion and the temperature of the eyes,nose,lips and ears,the analysis results showed that after moxibustion at mingmen point for 25 min,the differences between the temperature of the kidney area and the temperature of the ear were statistically significant(p<0.05),while the differences between the temperature of the eyes,nose,lips and ears were not statistically significant(p>0.05).Conclusion:Moxibustion at mingmen point can act on the kidney area and raise the temperature of the kidney area,eyes,nose,lips and ears.The infrared thermal image shows the thermal deviation,but there is a positive correlation between the change of the temperature of the kidney area and the change of the temperature of the ear.This conclusion proves the correctness of "the kidney begins in the ear" in TCM theory of possession and orifices by visual evidence,and at the same time,it indicates that the kidney and the ear are closely related in physiology and pathology,which provides data support for the possession and orifices theory in future clinical practice.
