OBJECTIVE: This research analyzed the clinical and follow-up survey data of 32 patients who have Male Breast Cancer(MBC)and treated at Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital.With analyzing the expression of AR and P53,the study analyzed the clinicopathological features of MBC,trying to explore the prognostic factors of the disease.METHODS: The study was using a total of 32 MBC patients enrolled in the Qinghai university affiliated hospital from January 2006 to October 2018.The dataset included the features of age,location of tumors,blood vessel invasion,lymph node metastasis,T stage,TNM stage,histological type,histological grade and molecular classification of applied to the patients.Base on the dataset,the study calculated overall survival.The expressions of AR,P53,ER,PR,HER2,and Ki67 were detected by IHC(Immunohistochemistry).All the relevant data was processed by SPSS Statistics 22.0.RESULTS: 1.The clinicopathological features of MBC: The age of 32 MBC patients was in the range from 40 to 87,and the median age was 60.5.There were 17 patients(53.13%)over 60 years old.There were 18 patients(53.25%)have a primary tumor locate in the left breast.The TNM stage statistic: There were 14 cases(43.75%)in stageⅡ,11 cases(34.37%)in stage Ⅲ.The dominant histological type of the group was invasive ductal carcinoma,in a total of 29 cases(90.63%);the rest 3(9.37%)were other histological types.The histological grade was common in grade Ⅱ,a total of 19 cases(59.37%).About the Immunohistochemistry(IHC): Most of the hormone receptors were positive in MBC patients.There were 30 patients(93.75%)have ER positive,and 28 patients(87.50%)have PR positive;7 patients(21.88%)were HER2 positive.The Ki67 was highly expressed in 18 patients(56.25%).The molecular classification was common in Luminal type: 12 patients(37.50%)of Luminal A and 18 patients(56.25%)of Luminal B.2.The expression of AR: The positive rate of AR was 87.50% in MBC.The positive rate of AR was 93.10% in invasive ductal carcinoma.The positive rate of other histological type AR was 33.3%,(p < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.There were no significant differences between the expression of AR and the age of patients,location of tumors,T stage,blood vessel invasion,lymph node metastasis,histological grade,TNM stage,molecular classification and the expression of ER,PR,HER2 and Ki67(p > 0.05).3.The expression of P53: The positive rate of P53 was 37.50% in MBC;The positive rate of P53 in patients with blood vessel invasion(55.60%)was higher than the rate of the patients without blood vessel invasion(14.30%,p < 0.05);The P53 positive rate was in the sequence of grade Ⅱ(57.90%),grade Ⅰ(14.30%),and 0% in grade Ⅲ(p < 0.05).The positive rate of P53 in the high expression group of Ki67(55.60%)was higher than that in the low expression group of Ki67(14.30%,p < 0.05).There were no significant differences between the expression of P53 and the age of patients,location of tumors,T stage,lymph node metastasis,TNM stage,histological type,molecular classification and the expression of ER,PR and HER2(p > 0.05).4.Survival analysis: The situation of the lymph node(p=0.029),the expression of ER(p=0.005),PR(p=0.005)and molecular classification(p=0.018)are the primary factors of OS across the MBC patients.So the difference was statistically significant.The age of patients,location of tumors,blood vessel invasion,T stage,TNM stage,histological type,histological grade and the expression of P53,HER2,Ki67 were not correlated with OS of MBC patients(p > 0.05).CONCLUSIONS: 1.The common histological type is invasive ductal carcinoma in MBC.The primary molecular classification is Luminal type.Also,hormone receptors are mostly positive.2.The positive expression rate of AR in invasive ductal carcinoma was higher than that in other histological types in MBC.3.The positive rate of P53 was higher in histological grade II,blood vessel invasion,high expression of Ki67.4.The situation of the lymph node,the expression of ER,PR and molecular classification are the primary factors of OS across the MBC patients.The age of patients,location of tumors,blood vessel invasion,T stage,TNM stage,histological type,histological grade and the expression of HER2,P53 or Ki67 do not correlate with OS of MBC patients.
