Objective: To evaluate the changes of left ventricular regional and global systolic function in children with left ventricular noncompaction(LVNC)by real-time threedimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE).Methods: 34 children with LVNC were enrolled and divided into EF normal group(EF≥55%,25 cases)and EF reduction group(EF<55%,9 cases).20 healthy children who were consistent with the age, height and weight of the experimental group were selected as the normal control group.RT-3DE was used to display the volume-time curve of the 17-segment of the left ventricle, and the regional parameters of regional end-diastolic volume(rEDV),regional end-systolic volume(rESV),and regional ejection fraction(rEF)were obtained, the global parameters of left ventricular end diastolic volume(LVEDV),left ventricular end systolic volume(LVESV)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were obtained, and the noncompaction(NC)and compaction(C)myocardium at the thickest in end-systole and calculated NC/C value.Evaluation of the number of affected segments with left ventricular 17-segment analysis. Results: The rEF of apical septal、inferior、lateral and med inferoseptal、inferior、inferolateral of the EF normal group was significantly different from the normal control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance for other segments(P>0.05).The rEF of the 17 th segment of the EF reduction group was significantly different from the normal control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in NC/C between the EF reduction group and the EF normal group(P>0.05),but the difference in the number of affected segments was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: RT-3DE technique is used to evaluate the regional and global systolic function of children with LVNC,which is helpful for early diagnosis and treatment, and is important for improving the prognosis of children.
