Curcuma kwangsienses S.G.lee etC.F.Liang,belonging to the genus Curcuma of Zingiberaceae,mainly distributed in subtropical provinces of China,such as Guangxi and Yunnan.It's radix is one of the four kinds of varieties loaded in 2015 Chinese Pharmacopoeia as Yujin curcumae radix.There are many plants of Zingiberaceae used as Chinese herbal medicines.Among them,the rhizome and radix of C.K.S.G.lee etC.F.Liang were loaded as Ezhu curcumae rhizome and Yujin curcumae radix in Chinese Pharmacopoeia respectively.The radix of C.K.S.G.lee etC.F.Liang has a good effect on relieving pain and usually been used to treat abdominal distension?dysmenorrhea and injury caused by falling beats,promote blood circulation in clinic.Earlier research in our group showed that the 75%EtOH extract of C.K.S.G.lee etC.F.Liang has good protective effect on PC12 cell injury induced by H2O2.In order to further clarify the active constituents of C.K.S.G.lee etC.F.Liang,the chemical constituents of 75%EtOH extract from it's radix were studied systematically.As results,29 compounds were isolated and identified by means of chromatographic separation and structure identification techniques like MS and NMR spectroscopic.most of them were sesquiterpenes?1-6,17-29?,five diphenylheptanes?7,13-16?,five phenolic compounds?8-12?.Among them,1-6 are sesquiterpenes and 7 is a new diphenylheptane.This study provides a preliminary research basis for the further development of this plant.In addition,the progress of chemical constituents from Zingiberaceae plants loaded in the 2015 Pharmacopoeia was reviewed.
