Objective:The purpose of this study was to use the adjusted dietary balance index DBI-16 to evaluate the dietary quality of middle-aged and older community reside nts over the age of 50 in Urumqi,to explore the correlation between dietary qualit y and sarcopenia,and to guide dietary intervention for the elderly.Provide a basis for reducing the incidence of sarcopenia.Methods:Based on the people who part icipated in the national physical examination in Tianshan District and Midong Distr ict of Urumqi City from July 2018 to January 2019,middle-aged and elderly peopl e were selected as the survey objects and they were subjected to questionnaires,ph ysical examinations and laboratory examinations.A total of 510 patients were inclu ded in the study,including 102 patients with sarcopenia,and 408 non-sarconia pati ents matching age,gender,nationality and sarcopenia.Results:The age range was50-87 years,with an average age of 66.59±8.623 years.There were 185 males a nd 325 females.The body composition index,food intake,and nutrient intake of t he nonsarcoma group were higher than those of the sarcopenia group,and the inta ke of dairy foods,legumes,meat and product foods,and egg foods in the two gro ups The difference was statistically significant(P??=0.026;P??=0.006;P????=0.014;P??=0.002);protein,vitamin A,The intake of vitamin C,calcium,zinc,selen ium and other nutrients was statistically significant?P<0.05?;vegetable foods,legu mes,and eggs in the two groups Food score(P??=0.047,P??=0.014,P??=0.013)and dietary quality indicators LBS-DBI,TS-DBI,DQD-DBI(PLBS-DBI=0.012,PTS-DBI=0.018,PDQD-DBI=0.015)The difference was statistically significant?Mann-Whitney U test?;the comparison of dietary quality between the two groups showed that the dietary intake was insufficient LBS-DBI and the dietary quality distance DQD-DB I(PLBS-DBI=0.023,PDQD-DBI=0.048)The difference was statistically significant betwee n the two groups?Mann-Whitney U test?.Multivariate conditional Logistic regressio n results showed that adjusting for influencing factors such as marriage,tea drinkin g,hypertension,physical activity,energy intake,and insufficient dietary intake?LB S-DBI?may be were risk factors for sarcopenia,with an OR value of 1.027?95%CI:1.004-1.051?.Conclusion:Inadequate dietary intake in the elderly may be is a risk factor for sarcopenia.Insufficient dietary intake is mainly manifested in in sufficient food intake and nutrient intake,which suggests that we should increase t he intake of food and nutrients to prevent the occurrence of sarcopenia,especially the increase of vegetable foods,dairy foods,beans Intake of foods such as meat,meat and products,and eggs can actively prevent the occurrence of sarcopenia.
