Objective:To observe the clinical effect of long-cough prescription in treating PIC with wind-induced Yang deficiency. Methods: From January 2019 to January 2020,60 patients with post-infectious cough were collected in the outpatient department of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine. After informed consent and signing the consent, the patients were included in the experiment and divided those into two groups: One group(30 cases)treated with Western Medicine and the experimental group(30 cases)treated with Long cough prescirption formula orally on the basis of the conventional western medicine treatment. The course of treatment of the two groups was 5 days, and the changes of cough symptoms,TCM syndromes and total effective rate,VAS score and LCQ score before and after treatment were observed.Results:(1)The curative effect of TCM syndromes: 1)Comparison in the group: after treatment of oral compound methoxonamine group and chronic cough prescription plus compound methoxonamine group, all TCM symptoms were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05).2)Comparison between groups: after treatment, the improvement of TCM symptoms in the group receiving prescription for chronic cough was more obvious than that in the compound methoxonamine group(P < 0.05).After treatment, the cough and itch symptoms of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).After treatment, there was no statistical difference in the remaining symptoms between the two groups(P > 0.05).3)There was a statistically significant difference in the total effective rate of TCM syndrome between the two groups(P < 0.05),which was 93.33% in the experimental group and 80% in the control group,respectively.(2)Cough efficacy and cough disappearance rate: 1)Cough symptom scores of the two groups decreased before treatment after treatment, with statistically significant difference(P < 0.05).After treatment, the improvement of cough efficacy in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).The curative effect of cough was 93.33% in the experimental group and 63.33% in the control group.2)Rate of cough disappearance: There was no statistical difference in the rate of cough disappearance between the treatment routine treatment plus prescription for chronic cough and the compound methoxine group(P>0.05).(3)Visual simulation scores of the two groups: VAS scores of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and VAS scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group after treatment, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).(4)LCQ score of patients in the two groups: after treatment,LCQ score of patients in the compound methoxamine plus long-cough prescription group was significantly higher than that in the compound methoxamine group in psychological, physiological and social aspects, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion :(1)A comparison of the traditional western medicine,Long cough prescirption can effectively improve the TCM symptoms of patients with post-infectious cough, and has a significant effect;(2)Long cough prescirption can significantly improve the quality of life of patients with post-infectious cough.
