Academic Thoughts And Clinical Experience Of Zhao Erkang Of Chengjiang Acupuncture School Descendant

Founded in the 1930s,the chengjiang acupuncture school has made an indispensable contribution to the inheritance and development of acupuncture and moxibustion both in China and overseas.At present,many scholars have carried out research on the inheritor of"chengjiang acupuncture school".Zhao Erkang,as one of the founders of China acupuncture research association and the disciple of Cheng Danan,has not been systematically studied.This subject conducts a comprehensive research on Zhao Erkang through visiting experts,literature research,analysis and induction and other research methods.There are three parts about Zhao Erkang in this stydy:Zhao Erkang’s life story,academic idea and clinical experience.Through the study,it was found that Zhao Erkang attached great importance to the inheritance of acupuncture and moxibustion.He had trained many practitioners and promoted the communication and development of acupuncture and moxibustion.Also,he devoted his whole life to the academic and clinical research of acupuncture and moxibustion.He made his own thoughts on the basis of the inheriting Cheng Danan’s academical experience.Firstly,focus on the study of ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine.Secondly,emphasize treatment based on syndrome differentiation,Thirdly5select acupoints based on both the pathogenesis and symptoms of diseases,and attach importance to selecting and matching acupoints.Fourth,promote the simplification on choosing acupoints.Fifth,advocate painless operation.Sixth,attach importance to needling sensation response.Seventh,emphasize the safety of acupuncture operation.Eighth,pay equal attention to acupuncture and moxibustion,and promote scar moxibustion.Ninth,advocate climate-concerned,environment-concerned,and individuality-concerned treatment.Also,this study sorted out some characteristic therapeutic experiences in Chinese acupuncture by Mr.Zhao erkang,such as six-meridian disorders of febrile disease,cough,tongue disease,toothache,eye disease,infantile convulsion and parts of digestive system diseases and urogenital system diseases,etc.
