Objective:To find out the epidemiological characteristics of sympathetic cervical spondylosis, and lay a foundation for the correct understanding of the occurrence and Epidemic Law of the disease;at the same time,to explore the risk factors related to the imaging angle of sympathetic cervical spondylosis, and to provide some objective basis for the imaging diagnosis and etiological reasoning of sympathetic cervical spondylosis. Methods:In clinical study 1,154 cases of sympathetic cervical spondylosis admitted to the Department of orthopedics and traumatology of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine from March 2016 to March 2019 were retrospectively collected as the research objects. The medical records and telephone follow-up were carried out to sort out and summarize the collected data, and then the data were described. The statistical contents include demographic characteristics:age, gender Occupation;clinical characteristics:season of onset, course of disease, main symptoms, comorbidity, etc. In Clinical Study 2,55 patients were randomly selected from the cases in Study 1 as the test group. At the same time, according to the composition of sex,55 patients with cervical symptom without cervical symptom who were admitted to the Tuina Department of our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. The cervical spine X-rays,cervical spine CT,and cervical MRI image data of the two groups were collected, and the differences in cervical curvature, cervical stability, cervical spinal stenosis, number of cervical disc herniation, and degree of cervical disc degeneration were compared between the two groups.Factor analysis to identify independent risk factors for the onset of sympathetic cervical spondylosis. Results:In the study 1,154 patients with sympathetic cervical spondylosis, the proportion of female was 61.04%,the proportion of male was 38.96%,the number of people aged<44 years and 45-59 years was the most, accounting for 79.22%of the total number.According to the frequency of occurrence, the first two were neck back stiffness/acid swelling/pain discomfort(incidence 83.12%)and dizziness/dizziness/vertigo(incidence 81.17%).In Study 2,there were statistically significant differences in cervical curvature, cervical stability, the number of cervical disc herniation segments,C4/5,C5/6,C6/7 disc degeneration grades between the two groups(P<0.05),while there were no statistically significant differences in cervical spinal stenosis,C2/3,C3/4 disc degeneration grades(P>0.05),Logistic regression analysis was carried out for the factors with statistical significance,The results show that:cervical curvature(OR=8.057),cervical stability(OR=10.920),number of cervical disc herniation segments(OR=2.580),degree of disc degeneration of C6/7(OR=6.830)were positively correlated with the onset of sympathetic cervical spondylosis, which was an independent risk factor of sympathetic cervical spondylosis.Conclusion:1.Sympathetic cervical spondylosis is targeted at young and middle-aged people, and there is a certain difference in gender distribution;2.Sympathetic cervical spondylosis is most common in terms of the frequency of symptoms, stiff neck/swelling/pain,discomfort,and dizziness/giddiness/vertigo;3.On imaging, changes in cervical curvature, cervical instability, number of cervical disc herniations, and degree of C6/7 disc degeneration may increase the risk of sympathetic cervical spondylosis.
