Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Xiaochaihu Decoction in the treatment of non severe community acquired pneumonia of pathogenic in Shaoyang type,through comparing the changes of lung signs,chest film,inflammatory factors and TCM syndrome scores with fever as the main factor before and after treatment.Meantime,we preliminarily explore the mechanism of Xiaochaihu Decoction.Method:The 80 inpatients with non severe community acquired pneumonia and pathogenic in Shaoyang type in TCM were separated into the treatment group of 40 cases and the control group of 40 cases by using the stochastic grouping method.The control group was treated with single quinolones;the treatment group was treated with Xiaochaihu Decoction in the basis of the control group,one dose a day,and the course of treatment in both groups was 7 days.By observing patients,therapeutic indexs of TCM syndromes with fever as the main factor,ung signs,chest film,inflammatory factors,etc.before the beginning of treatment and after 7 days of treatment,we analyze the effect of Xiaochaihu Decoction on the curative effect and safety indexs,and study the clinical efficacy and safety of the treatment of non severe community acquired pneumonia patients,who chiefly to pathogenic in Shaoyang type in TCM.Results:TCM syndrome scores and cufative effect:TCM syndrome scores of the two groups weredecreased.There was a statistical difference in the intra-group comparison(P<0.05).Treatment's over,the total scores of TCM syndromes were significantly improved.The total effective rate of the treatment group is 97.5%,and that of the control group is 92.5%.The total effective rate of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.Antipyretic effect:Compared with the antipyretic time of the two groups,the treatment-group's temperature normalization time were shorter than the control--group's(P<0.05).The temperature of the treatment group reduced faster than of the control group(P<0.05).CRP and PCT:When the treatment was over,the CRP and PCT levels were lower than before treatment of the two groups,which was significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).TNF-? and IL-6:After treatment,the two groups' levels of TNF-? and IL-6 were lower than that theres no treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group works better than the control group(P<0.05).IL-10:At the end of the treatment,the two groups' contents of IL-10 wereless than that there,s no treatment(P<0.05);After treatment,there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).IFN-?:After treatment,the IFN-? level in the treatment group was significantly lower than before(P<0.05);after treatment,the IFN-y level in the control group was lower than before(P>0.05).After treatment,IFN-y between the two groups was significantly different(P<0.05).The time of using antibiotics in the two groups:The time of using antibiotics in the treatment group was less than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:This research shows that combined application of Xiaochaihu Decoction on the basis of routine anti-inflammatory treatment of Western medicine can effectively shorten the duration of fever in non severe community acquired pneumonia patients of pathogenic in Shaoyang type,improve other related TCM symptoms,shorten the course of treatment,reduce CRP,PCT,TNF-?,IL-6,IFN-? and other indicators.Xiaochaihu Decoction is an effective and safe drug for the treatment of non severe community acquired pneumonia.
