Objective:By observing the clinical effect on patients using laryngeal blowing medicine(general anti-swelling powder)after low-temperature plasma excision of tonsils, the effect of general anti-swelling powder on postoperative inflammation was studied. It provides clinical basis for anti-inflammatory treatment of general anti-swelling powder after low-temperature plasma tonsillectomy, and provides theoretical support for expanding the scope of clinical indications of laryngeal blowing medicine. Methods:A total of 40 patients with chronic tonsillitis(CTS)in the ENT department of Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from March 2019 to December 2019 were collected and divided into a test group and a control group of 20 cases each. Both groups of patients underwent bilateral tonsillectomy under general anesthesia by a same experienced chief surgeon using low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation. Both groups were treated with conventional anti-infection,hemostasis and nebulization after the operation, and the test group was asked to use general anti-swelling powder from the first to the fifth day after the operation. The data of hypersensitive-C reactive protein(hs-CRP),white blood cell(WBC),neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and procalcitonin(PCT)were recorded before and on first and sixth day after the operation. Also, the pharyngeal score was recorded on the first and sixth postoperative days. The patients’pharyngeal pain and anxiety situation after the operation was quantified by visual analogue score(VAS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS).The results of all data were collected for statistical analysis to preliminarily evaluate the clinical efficacy of general anti-swelling powder,Results:1.On the first day after operation, there was no statistical difference in inflammation indexes, symptoms and signs between the two groups(P>0.05).2.On the sixth day after the operation, there was no statistical difference in the data changes of hs-CRP,WBC,NLR and PCT between the two groups(P>0.05);The pharyngeal score of the test group(Median,M)was 0 point, which was lower than that of the control group(2 points),the difference had statistical meanings(P<0.05);The pharyngeal pain VAS of the test group(Median,M)was 2.5 points, which was lower than that of the control group(4 points),the difference had statistical meanings(P<0.05);The average SAS score of the test group(34.13±8.233)was lower than that of the control group(38.63±5.805),but the difference had no statistical meanings(P>0.05).Conclusions:The effect of general anti-swelling powder on the changes of inflammation indicators,hs-CRP,WBC,NLR,PCT and postoperative anxiety of the test group after low-temperature plasma excision of tonsils is not statistically different from the control group, but it can relieve postoperative pharyngeal pain, improve wound healing and pharyngeal congestion and edema situations. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
