ObjectiveTo explore whether neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and platelet/lymphocyte ratio(PLR)before treatment is related to prognosis of Diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients.MethodA retrospective analysis was performed on 179 DLBCL cases who were initially treated in Qilu hospital. The cutoff value of NLR and PLR was calculated by ROC curve drawed by SPSS software. We used nonparametric X squared inspection analysis,Kaplan Meier method and multiple factors analysis to analyze the relationship between NLR/PLR and clinical characteristics of DLBCL patients and the prognosis of patients in both groups.ResultsThe cutoff value of NLR was 4.0 and the cutoff of PLR was 178.Increased NLR was significantly correlated with the increase of LDH,more extranodal lesions, later ann-arbor staging, increased probability of bone marrow infiltration and higher IPI score. The 2-year OS and PFS of patients in high NLR group were significantly lower than those in the low NLR group. For patients in the low risk group, the OS and PFS in the high NLR group were still significantly lower than those in the NLR group. The increase of PLR was significantly correlated with more extranodal lesions, later ann-arbor staging and higher IPI score.PFS was significantly reduced in patients with high PLR,but PLR was not an independent prognostic factor in patients with DLBCL.ConclusionsThe prognosis of patients with NLR and DLBCL before treatment is of great significance, and high NLR often indicates poor prognosis.NLR may be a better prognostic indicator than PLR.
