| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with point-application in treating constipation after constrictive vertebral fracture, and to provide effective treatments to improve the gastrointestinal function of patients. Methods:The study collected patients who have not had a bowel movement for 72 hours after constrictive vertebral fracture. They were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group were treated with acupuncture and point-application,and control group were given an oral solution of lactulose. Both groups were treated until the patient defecated. The scores of "Wexner continence grading scale" and "VAS score of back pain" were compared before, after and 7 days after treatment to evaluate the curative effect.SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used to statistically analyze the data.Results:①Intragroup comparison before and after treatment in control group and treatment group:Differences in Wexner continence grading scale were statistically significant(p<0.05,p<0.05);The difference in VAS score of back pain in treatment group was statistically significant(p<0.05),there was no statistically significant in control group(p>0.05).②Comparison between groups after treatment, there were statistically significant differences in Wexner continence grading scale and VAS score of back pain between the treatment group and the control group(p<0.05,p<0.05).③Comparison before and 7 days after treatment in control group and treatment group:Differences in Wexner continence grading scale were statistically significant(p<0.05,p<0.05);The difference in VAS score of back pain in treatment group was statistically significant(p<0.05),there was no statistically significant in control group(p>0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with point-application can effectively relieve constipation caused by constrictive vertebral fracture.lt can effectively shorten the time between bowel movements, improve abdominal distension, and relieve pain in the fractured part of the lower back. But the overall efficacy of acupuncture combined with point-application is better than oral solution of lactulose. |
