| Objective: In order to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Liuwei Dihuang Lianb o Decoction in the treatment of elderly type 2 diabetes(kidney yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome).To explore new ideas and treatment methods for the treatment of elderly type 2 diabetes(kidney yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome)by combined Chinese and western medicine,and to summarize clinical experience.Methods: The subject collected elderly patients with type 2 diabetes(kidney yin deficiency deficiency and damp-heat syndrome)from December 2018 to December 2019 who were treated in the Department of Geriatrics,Endocrinology Clinic and Inpatient Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine.For the study,a total of 80 cases.They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 40 cases each.The treatment group was treated with Chinese medicine + western medicine(Liuwei Dihuang Lianbo Decoction + metformin hydrochloride enteric-coated tablets),and the control group was treated with western medicine(metformin hydrochloride entericcoated tablets)for 12 weeks.Collect biochemical laboratory indicators of FPG,2hPBG,HbA1 c,TC,TG,LDL-L and HDL-L before and after treatment in the two groups,and relevant data such as BMI,WHtR and TCM syndromes.Through statistical analysis,observe the changes of the two groups of index data before and after treatment.Results: 1.A total of 80 cases were collected in this study,7 cases were lost(4 cases in the control group and 3 cases in the treatment group),and 73 cases were finally completed.During the treatment,there were no obvious adverse reactions in 73 cases.2.In terms of blood glucose,the indexes of FPG,2hPBG and HbA1 c in the two groups were effectively reduced by comparison after treatment(P<0.01).Compared between groups,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in reducing FPG index,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).the treatment group was better than the control group in improving 2h PBG,HbA1 c,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.In terms of blood lipids,after treatment,the two groups showed significant improvement in TC,TG,LDL-L,and HDL-L indicators(except for the HDL-L indicator in the control group),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01);There was no statistically significant difference in the HDL-L index of the control group(P>0.05),indicating that the control group had no significant improvement in HDL-L after treatment.Comparison between groups,the treatment group was better than the control group in improving TC,TG,LDL-L,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in adjusting the HDL-L index,and the difference was statistically significant Significance(P<0.01).4.In terms of body mass index and waist-to-height ratio,comparing the two groups after treatment,BMI and WHtR were significantly reducing in the two groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Comparing between groups,the treatment group’s efficacy in improving BMI and WHtR was comparable to that of the control group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).5.In terms of TCM syndromes,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving the total score of TCM syndromes,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving TCM syndromes(more frequent urination,weak waist and knees,hot hands and feet,hot flashes,night sweats,abdominal fullness,lack of thirst,and redness).The differences were significant.Significantly statistically significant(P<0.01);the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the TCM syndromes(tinnitus,forgetfulness,and uncomfortable defecation)of the single syndrome score,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no significant change in the scores of individual syndromes of TCM syndromes(deafness,insomnia)compared with the control group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).6.In terms of the efficacy of TCM syndromes,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.49%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 58.33%.Compared with the two groups,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);In terms of overall efficacy,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 83.78%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 55.56%.Compared with the two groups,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion: Liuwei Dihuang Lianbo Decoction can effectively improve blood glucose,blood lipid and biochemical laboratory indicators in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes with kidney yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome.It is safe and effective and worthy of further exploration and research in the future,summing up experience and promoting clinical practice. |
