Objective:To study the effect of different materials containing MDP on the Short-Term Adhesion properties of zirconia ceramics contaminated with saliva and resin in vitro.Methods:56 zirconia ceramic samples(0.9cm × 0.9cm × 0.3 cm)were randomly divided into two groups: A(without Zirclean)and B(with Zirclean)according to the pretreatment methods.According to the primer and adhesive resin cement used with or without MDP,each group was randomly divided into four groups. There are 8 groups in total, including with MDP primer and adhesive resin cement group(Group A1),with MDP adhesive resin cement group(Group A2),and with MDP primer group(Group A3),without MDP primer and adhesive resin cement group(Group A4);with MDP primer and adhesive resin cement group(Group B1),with MDP adhesive resin cement group(Group B2),with MDP primer group(group B3),MDP-free primer and adhesive resin cement group(group B4),7 samples in each group.80μm alumina particles were used to sandblast the bonding surface of the test piece and then ultrasonically shaken to clean, then all the test pieces were immersed in 300 ml artificial saliva for 1min.56 resin samples(4 mm in diameter and 4 mm in height)were made and screened, and each group of zirconia test pieces and resin samples were bonded as required;after bonding, they were allowed to stand in a constant temperature water bath at 37 ° C for 24 hours and embedded;and the fracture mode of the zirconia specimen was observed and recorded one by one with a stereo microscope(× 20).The SPSS19.0 statistical software was used to conduct a one-way analysis of variance on the shear strength values of all test pieces, and multiple comparisons between groups were conducted through the LSD test. The test levels were all α=0.05.Results1.The difference in shear bond strength between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Pairwise comparison showed no significant difference in shear bond strength between A1 and B1,A2 and B2,A4 and B4,A4 and A3,B3 and B2(P> 0.05);A2,A3,A4 and A1 shearing was no significant difference in the strength values(P> 0.05);there was no significant difference in the shear bond strength values between the A2,A3,and A4 groups(P> 0.05);the shear bond strengths between the B1 and B2,B3,B4 groups was respectively no significant difference in the values(P> 0.05);A3 and B3(t = 2.251,P = 0.029),B2 and B4(t = 2.593,P = 0.013),and B3 and B4(t = 2.359,P = 0.023)was statistically significant, and the shear bond strength values of B3 was higher than A3,B2 was higher than B4,and B3 was higher than B4 as well.2.The fracture mode results show that the failure of the specimens is mainly caused by the interface failure, that is,the bonding surfaces of the resin cement and zirconia have all fallen off,and only a small number of mixed failures have occurred in the A2,B2,and B3 groups.Conclusions1.The use of MDP-containing primer or resin cement has a certain effect on improving the bonding strength between zirconia and resin;2.Using MDP-containing primer and resin cement alone or in combination is no significant difference in the influence of the bonding strength between zirconia and resin;3.Under the limited conditions of this experiment, the use of the new cleaning agent studied in this paper has a certain effect on the short-term bonding strength of zirconia and resin.
