| Objective: Bone marrow suppression is the toxic and side reaction which often appears after chemotherapy in patients with malignant tumor,in order to control the adverse reaction,promoting the recovery of patients' body,group under the guidance of TCM theory,combined with years of clinical experience summary,from the "spleen and kidney",its purpose is to apply traditional Chinese medicine effective prevent and improve bone marrow suppression which is caused by chemotherapy in patients with malignant tumor,to promote the rehabilitation of tumor patients.Methods: The malignant tumor cases that met the inclusion criteria in our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group.In the control group,starting from the first day of chemotherapy,the "Shengxuebao Mixture" was used for oral treatment,three times a day,each time 15 ml,a total of 14 days;From the first day of chemotherapy,the treatment group began to take orally the self-designed "Spleen-invigorating and Kidney-invigorating prescription" granule,which was mixed with 50 ml water three times a day for a total of 14 days.Blood routine examination was performed for the two groups of patients,respectively,1 day before and 3 days,7 days and 14 days after chemotherapy.The changes of White blood cells(WBC)count,Hemoglobin(Hb)count and Platelet(PLT)count were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Karnofsky performance status(KPS)about the Quality of Life(QOL)scores before and after treatment?digestive tract toxicity and side effects and syndrome differentiation of TCM after chemotherapy between the two groups.The cases and doses of Recombinant human granulocyte stimulating factor(rh G-CSF)after chemotherapy were compared between the two groups.Results:(1)Among 66 patients receiving chemotherapy for malignant tumor in a randomized controlled study,32 patients in the treatment group and 34 patients in the control group were divided according to the random number table method.There was no statistically significant difference in general data between the two groups(p > 0.05),indicating comparability.(2)The most common toxic and side effect of chemotherapy was bone marrow suppression.WBC counts in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group 1 day before chemotherapy,3 days after chemotherapy,and 14 days after chemotherapy,but the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).White blood cell(WBC)counts in the treatment group 7 days after chemotherapy were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Hemoglobin(Hb)and platelet(PLT)counts in the treatment group 1 day before chemotherapy,3 days after chemotherapy,7 days after chemotherapy,and 14 days after chemotherapy were all higher than those in the control group,but the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).(3)The adverse reaction of chemotherapy for ?-° gastrointestina? l adverse reaction,the incidence of gastrointestinal tract toxicity reaction treatment group was obviously lower in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(4)The quality of life(QOL)of the two groups of patients after chemotherapy(KPS),the treatment group was higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(5)For TCM syndrome score of patients in the two groups,the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(aP < 0.05).(6)When myelosuppression occurred,the number of cases and dose of recombinant human granulocyte stimulating factor in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,showing statistical significance(P< 0.05).Conclusion:The self-designed "Spleen-invigorating and kidneyinvigorating prescription" can effectively improve the bone marrow suppression which was caused by chemotherapy in patients with malignant tumor,and is effective in reducing toxicity and increasing efficacy,improving the patients' tolerance to chemotherapy,and improving patients' symptom score,which is of great clinical significance. |
