ObjectiveBy selecting the patients with urinary incontinence after stroke and adopting the method of moxibustion combined with acupoint application, the effect of moxibustion combined acupoint in urinary incontinence after stroke was observed for the recommendation of clinical treatment.Methods106 patients suffering urinary incontinence after stroke from October 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. One group included 53 patients.Patients in the control group received only conventional western treatment and nursing.Patients in the treatment group received moxibustion and acupoint application concinnated with conventional western treatment and nursing. After 14 days, the curative effect was observed, and the treatment effect of the two groups was compared with each other. The patients were evaluated using the ICI-Q-SF score,the24 h urination frequency, the severity of urinary incontinence, the total effective rate of treatment, the incidence of urinary tract infections, the clinical symptoms score and quality of life of patients with urinary incontinence I-QOL.Results1.Before the treatment,no significant difference in ICI-Q-SF score was observed between the two groups(P>0.05),and the difference was not statistically significant. However, after the treatment, the score of the treatment group was(8.55±2.14),while the control group was(11.98±2.49).The ICI-Q-SF score of the two groups decreased, and the score of the treatment group decreased more significantly than that of the control group(P<0.001).The difference was statistically significant.2.No significant difference was observed in the frequency of 24 h urination between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The difference was not statistically significant. After treatment, the number of urination in the treatment group was(7.23± 1.05),while the control group was(9.98±1.07).Even though the significant decreasing in the two groups, the treatment group has lower frequency of 24 h urination(P=0.001).The difference was statistically significant.3.Analysis the grades of urinary incontinence between the two groups, there was no significant difference in the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),the difference was not statistically significant. The grades of urinary incontinence in the two groups changed after treatment. The proportion of urinary grade I in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and there was no significant difference between grade II and IV.The improvement in the treatment group was more significant than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant.4.Analysis of the clinical symptom scores of the two groups patients, there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),the difference was not statistically significant. After treatment, the clinical symptom score of the treatment group was(2.19±0.98),the control group was(5.57±0.11).The clinical symptom scores of the two groups were reduced. The clinical symptom score of the treatment group was reduced more significantly than that of the control group(P<0.001).The difference was statistically significant.5.Analysis of the incidence of urinary tract infections after treatment in the two groups of patients. The incidence of urinary tract infection in the treatment group was(12.50%)and that in the control group was(22.92%).The incidence of urinary tract infections in the treatment group was lower(P<0.001).The difference was statistically significant.6.Statistical analysis of the treatment effect of the two groups of patients, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.83% and the control group was 85.42%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P=0.022).The difference was statistically significant.7.Comparing the patients’ quality of life score I-QOL,we found that there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),and the difference was not statistically significant. After treatment, the score of patients in the treatment group was(80.35±12.24),and the control group was(68.78±10.43).The I-QOL score of patients of two groups increased. The quality of patients’ life improved better than that of the control group(P<0.001).The difference was statistically significant.ConclusionIn the treatment of urinary incontinence patients after stroke, the combination of moxibustion and acupoint can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with urinary incontinence and the quality of patients’ life, which is recommended to be used in clinic.
