Objective:We investigated the analgesic efficacy of general anesthesia combined with bilateral superficial cervical plexus block(SCPB)in the intraoperative and postoperative periods, and effects on postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV).The effect of low-dose sufentanil combined with ropivacaine on postoperative analgesia after thyroid surgery was evaluated investigated the analgesic efficacy of general anesthesia combined with bilateral superficial cervical plexus block(SCPB)in the intraoperative and postoperative periods and postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV).The effect of sufentanil combined with ropivacaine on analgesia after thyroid surgery was evaluated. Methods:A total of 120 ASA ?-? scheduled for thyroid surgery were included to the study,40 cases in each group.Patients undergoing thyroidectomy were randomly separated into the following three groups: group A the general anesthesia group(control group),group B the general anesthesia plus BSCPB group with ropivacaine 0.33% and group C the general anesthesia plus BSCPB group with 0.15 mu g/ml sufentanil combined ropivacaine 0.33%.Superficial cervical plexus nerve block was induced under general anesthesia.Intraoperative remifentanil and sevoflurane dosages were recorded in three groups.Pain score was measured at 2,4,8,12 and 24 h after surgery using the visual analog scale(VAS).Results:There was no statistical difference in age, weight, gender composition and operation time among the three groups(P>0.05).Compared with group A,the intraoperative general anesthetic dosage in group B and C was significantly reduced, with A statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The VAS score of B and C group at different postoperative time was lower than that of group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS score of the B and C group was statistically significant at 12 h after surgery(P<0.05).The incidence of nausea and vomiting after thyroid surgery in group B and C was lower than that in group A,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The present study demonstrated that the combination of bilateral superficial cervical plexus blockade with general anesthesia for thyroidectomy reduce the use of general anesthesia drugs, reduce postoperative VAS score, alleviates the incidence of PONV.The analgesic duration of low-dose sufentanil combined with ropivacaine in cervical superficial plexus nerve block was longer than that of ropivacaine nerve block alone.
