Research On Social Work Intervention In Urban Community Health Services For The Elderly

With the development of social economy and the progress of medical technology,people’s quality of life has been improved,population life expectancy has been extended,the number of elderly population has increased,and the aging degree in China has been deepening.As the number of elderly people increases,their needs are also changing.From meeting personal material needs,they pay more and more attention to their physical health and have increasing demands on health services.Therefore,with the aggravation of population aging and the increasing demand for and level of health services for the elderly,comprehensive and accurate provision of diversified community health services to meet the health needs of different elderly people and improve their quality of life is an urgent problem to be solved at present.However,China is in a state of getting old before getting rich,and there is insufficient supply of public health services for the elderly,which cannot meet the current needs of health services for the elderly.As the grass-roots unit closest to the elderly in the community,the community best understands the living environment and needs of the elderly,and can best meet the needs of the elderly by providing services for them.Therefore,in view of the existing problems in serving the elderly,it is of great significance to solve the current social problems to improve community health services for the elderly and meet their health needs.This paper takes x community in Beijing as an example,through investigation and research,to understand the demand and development status of community health services for the elderly,through social work to participate in x community health services for the elderly,explore the path and methods of social work to participate in urban community health services for the elderly.First of all,through interviews and observations,the author understood the development status and existing problems of health services for the elderly in x community,analyzed the causes of problems in health services for the elderly in the community,and conducted the needs assessment of health services for the elderly in the community.Secondly,based on maslow’s needs theory and empowerment theory,community social work and group social work are used to intervene in x community health services for the elderly.Group practice activities focusing on disease prevention,elderly care and health promotion are carried out to meet the health needs of the elderly.According to the current situation of the community and the needs of the elderly in the community,through linking resources,organizing activities,recruiting volunteers to serve the elderly to carry out community practice activities,improve the health services for the elderly in the community.Finally,the paper summarizes the practical experience of social work in the health service for the elderly in urban communities and draws the research conclusion.
