| Objective: To study the expression of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer tissues, and to analyze the relationship between the expression of IL-22 and its clinicopathological features and prognosis. Methods: 90 paraffin specimens of pancreatic cancer patients diagnosed by the Department of Postoperative Pathology according to WHO pathological diagnostic criteria were selected for surgical resection from January 2016 to November 2018 in the Department of Hepatobiliary,Pancreatic and Splenic Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University, and 90 paracancerous tissues of the same patient were selected as controls.Pancreatic cancer is pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. All specimens were confirmed by surgery and pathology.Pancreas tissue more than 2cm from tumor is defined as paracancerous tissue.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer tissues and adjacent tissues.Statistical analysis was carried out to compare the differences of expression between the two tissues.Weston-blot was further used to verify the results, and the relationship between the expression level of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer tissues and clinicopathological features and prognosis was analyzed. Results: The expression of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in the adjacent tissues, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the clinicopathological features of pancreatic cancer, there was no significant difference in the positive rate of IL-22 expression between the sex, age, tumor size and high and low differentiation groups of pancreatic cancer patients(P > 0.05).The positive rate of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer patients with different TNM scores was significantly different(p < 0.05),and the positive rate of stage ii-iii was higher than that of stage I.The positive rate of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer patients with and without lymph node metastasis was statistically significant(p < 0.05),and the positive rate of il-22 expression in metastatic group was significantly higher than that in non-metastatic group. Conclusion: 1.The expression of IL-22 in pancreatic cancer tissues is significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues, and is closely related to lymph node metastasis and TNM staging, and has nothing to do with age, sex, tumor size and tumor differentiation degree;2.The prognosis of pancreatic cancer patients with high expression of IL-22 is poor, and the survival time is significantly shorter.Multiple factor analysis shows that high expression of IL-22 is one of the independent risk factors for poor prognosis of pancreatic cancer. |
