Objective:(1)Based on comparing the levels of skin AGEs in healthy people、euthyroid、subclinical and overt hypothyroid stages in HT patients, explore the change of skin AGEs in patients of hashimoto hypothyroidism.(2)The skin AGEs of hashimoto hypothyroidism patients was measured to analyze the correlation between it and TCM syndromes.(3)The correlation between antithyroid antibody and thyroid function in HT patients was preliminarily analyzed. Methods: A total of 125 cases were included in the study,93 of whom were newly diagnosed with HT(32 patients in euthyroid subgroup,31 patients in subclinical hypothyroid subgroup and 30 patients in overt hypothyroid subgroup),and 32 of whom were healthy volunteers. The age and gender were matched in each subgroups.A total of 61 cases of HT with subclinical and overt hypothyroidism were included in the category of "gall disease & asthenia and fatigue" in TCM.Those cases were divided into three groups(22 cases of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency,16 cases of deficiency of qi and yin,23 cases of yang deficiency of spleen and kidney). After collected the baseline data and measured IR 、 IGR 、 AGEs by The Noninvasive Detector of Skin AGEs,analysis of variance and correlation 、 ROC curve were applied.Results:1.There were no statistically significant differences in gender 、age、height、weight、BMI、FT3、 T3、IR and IGR among the four subgroups, while there were statistically significant differences in TSH、FT4、T4、TGAb and TPOAb;Mean skin AGEs: normal control subgroup <euthyroid HT subgroup <subclinical and overt hypothyroid in HT,the difference of the latter two subgroups is not significant, and the other two is statistically significant;Positive correlation between AGEs and TPOAb is observed.2.The best diagnosis point of skin AGEs value for predicting hashimoto hypothyroidism is 65.75 arb.unit, the sensitivity of corresponding screening is 75.4%and the specificity is 76.6%,the area under the curve is 0.833(95%CI: 0.764 ~0.903).3.There were no statistical differences in gender、body weight、BMI、TSH、FT4、FT3、T4、T3、TGAb、IR and IGR of each TCM syndrome type, and statistical differences in TPOAb and age.The Skin AGEs level gradually increase in TCMsyndrome of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency、deficiency of qi and yin、yang deficiency of spleen and kidney, and there were statistical difference between each two syndrome types.4.Both TPOAb and TGAb in the normal control subgroup and euthyroid subjects are positively correlated with TSH,while there was no significant correlation with T4、FT4、FT3 and T3.Conclusion:1.Skin AGEs gradually accumulate followed the progression of HT,which can be used as an auxiliary means for predicting hashimoto hypothyroidism.2.There is a correlation between skin AGEs and TCM syndrome types of hashimoto hypothyroidism, which can assist differentiation and disease progression judgment of TCM syndrome.3.Skin AGEs are correlated with thyroid function and antithyroid antibodies in HT patients, which can assit to predict the trend of thyroid function and the degree of inflammation in HT patients.4.Antithyroid antibody is correlated with thyroid function, and the higher the titer, the more likely thyroid dysfunction.
