| Objective In this randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,single-center clinical trial,to study and compare the indicators of bone metabolic markers(alkaline phosphatase(BALP),Calcium(Ca),phosphorus(P),osteocalcin(OC),vitamin D(VD),type I collagen amino terminal propeptide(PICP),B-collagen degradation products(B-CTX),parathyroid hormone(PTH)),bone mineral density(BMD),inflammatory indicators(procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6)),constipation side effects of oral calcium, and gastrointestinal dysfunction in elderly women, during the same period before and after treatment with probiotic lactic acid bacteria in female osteoporosis. And to assess whether there are obvious differences,to provide a new clinical basis for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.Method From September 2018 to June 2019,150 osteoporosis cases were collected from outpatient department as well as inpatient department of Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University. Then 60 postmenopausal women(mean age 62.4 ± 6.69 years, mean height 161.59 ± 6.88 cm,mean weight 62.59 ± 9.77kg)were screened out according to the inclusion as well as exclusion criteria and divided into two groups,30 in each group. Before the intervention, the serum of patients was collected and sent to the laboratory of our hospital. The inspector in charge of this project measured the test values of bone metabolism markers as well as inflammatory indicators in each patient’s serum. Then, according to the drug as well as the instructions of the project, the experimental group was treated with routine anti osteoporosis drug + probiotic Lactobacillus every day, while the control group was treated with routine anti osteoporosis drug + placebo,After 24 weeks(6 months)of oral treatment, the nurse specialist in charge of the project collected blood as well as separated serum, then the medical specialist measured the serum bone metabolism markers and inflammatory test values of the patients in the experimental group as well as the control group, and the imaging medical specialist in charge of the project performed bone mineral density examination for thepatients in the project group. Before the intervention,24 weeks(6 months)for each case to fill in the questionnaire related to the subject, record the daily living conditions of patients as well as related changes in clinical symptoms. Finally, compare the observation indexes before and after the intervention and between the treatment groups, and the indexes of bone metabolism markers(alkaline phosphatase(BALP),calcium(Ca),phosphorus(P),osteocalcin(OC),vitamin D(VD),Type I collagen amino terminal propeptide(PICP),B-collagen degradation product(B-CTX),parathyroid hormone(PTH)),inflammatory index(procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6)),patients with bone mineral density(BMD),side effects of constipation due to oral administration of Calcium, and gastrointestinal dysfunction in elderly women were evaluated for statistical and clinical significance.Result The two groups in the screening group were similar in age, bone density, bone metabolism markers, and inflammatory indexes. After treatment, the bone mineral density of the experimental group was not significantly changed compared with the intervention(P=0.892);the bone metabolism marker BALP was significantly changed after the treatment(P=0.033),and B-CTX was significantly changed compared with the intervention(P=0.029);the inflammatory index IL-6 in the cases after treatment was significantly changed compared with that before intervention(P=0.033).Conclusion The intervention of probiotic lactobacilli in the treatment of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis by oral calcitriol and calcium has a positive promoting effect, which can slow down the bone turnover speed of postmenopausal women, improve the imbalance of intestinal flora, restore the normal physiological function of intestinal tract, further promote the intake of nutrition and drug absorption, reduce the side effects of calcium agent leading to constipation, together with reduce intestinal inflammation so as to play an anti osteoporosis role. |
