| Objective: To observe the clinical effect of four-step chiropractic manipulation on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods:66 cases of orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Quanzhou City Hospital from December 2018 to December 2019 were selected and randomly divided into two groups:33 cases in the experimental group and 33 cases in the control group. The experimental group was given four-step chiropractic manipulation, while the control group was given cervical spine fixed-point rotation manipulation. The frequency of treatment in both groups was 3 days and 1 time, and 5 times in a row was one course, during the treatment, guide patients to adjust their diet, life and work habits. The two groups were compared with the short-form of McGill pain score questization,Neck Disability Index(NDI)and cervical spondylopathy score before and after one course of treatment, and the clinical effects were observed. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 statistical software.Result:1.There was no significant difference in the distribution of age,sex and course of disease between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The short-form of McGill pain score questization:The McGill total score before treatment and the PRI,VAS,and PPI scores between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05);the McGill total score and the PRI,VAS,and PPI scores of the two groups before and after treatment were compared within the group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both methods can improve the patient’s pain;the McGill total score and the PRI,VAS,and PPI scores between the two groups after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the decrease in pain index in the test group was more obvious than that in the control group after treatment.3.NDI:Before treatment, the difference in NDI index between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);within the group comparison, the NDI index decreased before and after treatment in both groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the two treatments All methods can reduce the NDI index;the comparison between the groups shows that the NDI index of the test group after treatment is lower than that of the control group, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the NDI index of the test group decreased more than the control group after treatment.4.Cervical spondylopathy score:Before treatment, there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05),so the two groups of cervical spondylosis effect scores were comparable before treatment;the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both treatment methods improved the clinical symptoms and signs of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy;after treatment, the difference in scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group The clinical symptoms and signs improved better than the control group.5.The total effective rate of the test group was 96.77% and the total recovery rate was67.74%;the total effective rate of the control group was 96.88% and the total recovery ratewas 25.00%.The difference in total improvement rate between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05),but the difference in the total recovery rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the clinical effect of the four-step chiropractic manipulation is better. Conclusion:The four-step chiropractic manipulation and cervical spine fixed-point rotation manipulation can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. However, the improvement effect of the four-step chiropracticmanipulation is better, and it is worthy of clinical promotion and application. |
