Management Of The Clinically Negative Neck(N0)of Supraglottic Laryngeal Carcinoma:a Meta-analysis

Objective:To perform a meta-analysis of the management of clinically negative neck(N0)of supraglottic laryngeal carcinoma.Method:The Wan fang,CNKI,PUBMED and EMBASE databases were searched,literatures were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Literature quality was evaluated according to MINORS evaluation entries,and finally extract data for qualitative description.Meta-analysis was conducted by Stata/SE 15.1 software.Heterogeneity was assessed using I2 values and P values,and OR values were used as outcome variables for summary analysisResults:Meta-analysis was performed on 883 cases including 7 articles.In the treatment of cervical lymph nodes of cN0(clinically negative neck)supraglottic laryngeal carcinoma,there was no significant difference in 5-year recurrence and metastasis rate and 5-year overall survival rate(OS)compared the neck dissection treatment group,the neck radiotherapy group,and comprehensive treatment group,but all of them were superior "wait and see" groupConclusions:Through a comprehensive preoperative evaluation combined with clinical diagnosis,the operator needs to deal with cervical lymph nodes of cN0 supraglottic laryngeal carcinoma.However,because the included studies were all non-randomized controlled studies,the number of cases was small,and the possibility of bias can't be ruled out more high-quality randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm this.
