Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between marriage quality, anxiety and depression level and subjective well-being in adult epileptic patients. Methods Adult married epileptic patients admitted to the first affiliated hospital of Xi 'an medical university from March 2019 to December 2019 were collected, and the experimental group patients were selected in strict accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria.Age,gender, occupation, education level, seizure type, course of illness, treatment method, incidence frequency and medication compliance were recorded. The control group was taken from the healthy people who completed physical examination in the physical examination department of the first affiliated hospital of Xi'an medical university, which was basically matched with the gender, age, education level and work status of the research group. All patients with epilepsy and healthy people in the control group completed the Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI),Beck Depression Inventory(BDI),Marriage Perception Scale(MPS)and China revised General well-being Schedule(GWB)under the guidance of specialist doctors and graduate students.SPSS18.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data.Result1.A total of 50 eligible epilepsy patients were included, with an average age of 50.48± 13.485 years and an average onset age of 45.18 ± 11.71 years. The prevalence of anxiety disorder was 15% and the prevalence of depression disorder was 17 %,both of which were higher than the control group. The total score of the epilepsy patients in the study group was 56.280 ± 8.458 points, and the median score of general happiness was 73.50 points, which was significantly lower than that of the control group.2.The marital quality of epileptic patients is affected by a variety of factors, including work status, length of illness, type of epileptic seizures, etc.;Among epilepsy patients with anxiety and depression disorder, marriage quality score was significantly lower than that of those without anxiety and depression disorder. The correlation analysis found that the anxiety and depression of epilepsy patients were negatively correlated with their marriage quality, and their own general happiness was positively correlated with their marriage quality.3.The results of multiple linear regression suggested that the anxiety, depression, disease course, life satisfaction and interest of epileptic patients were significant predictors of their marriage quality. Conclusion The marital quality of epileptic patients is generally lower, which is affected by age, work status, disease course length, attack type and other aspects. The anxiety and depression levels are negatively correlated with the marital quality, and the self-happiness is positively correlated with the marital quality.Anxiety, depression, illness course, life satisfaction and interest are significant predictors of the marital quality of epileptic patients, suggesting that we can improve the marital status of epileptic patients by comprehensive intervention from the above aspects.
