Objective To explore the relationship between the single nucleotide polymorphisms of CYP19A1 gene(rs2470152,rs726547)and the dyslipidemia and obesity of the middle-aged and old people in the urban community of Ningxia. Methods The middle to old aged people in 5 communities in Ningxia city were investigated by stratified sampling.1850 samples were included in the study, including 922 males and 928 females. The height and weight of the sample, the blood lipid and sex hormone levels were measured, and the genotype of the sample was recorded by using the genetic typing technology MassARRY system, and the relationship between the genotyping of the investigated population, the blood lipid components and obesity was analyzed by using the statistical software. Results 1.There was no statistical difference in BMI distribution between men and women of middle-aged and old people in Ningxia urban community;the level of TC and LDL-C in men was lower than that in women;the level of testosterone and HDL-C in men was higher than that in women, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.According to the age group, there were significant differences in TG level of male and TG,LDL-C level of female in different age groups(P < 0.05).3.There was significant difference in the prevalence of dyslipidemia in different age groups(P <0.05).There was significant difference in the prevalence of obesity amongwomen of different ages(P < 0.05).4.The HDL-C level of female individuals with rs2470152 AA genotype was lower than that of individuals with G allele(GG / Ag).The TG level of male individuals with rs726547 A allele(Ag / AA)was higher than that of individuals with GG genotype. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.The BMI level of female individuals with rs726547 A allele(AA / Ag)was higher than that of those with GG genotype(P < 0.05).6.The prevalence of dyslipidemia was significantly different between male individuals with rs2470152 AA gene and those with Ag / GG gene. After correction of the influencing factors, the risk of dyslipidemia was1.502 times higher than that of male individuals with GG / Ag gene(or = 1.502,P = 0.022,95% CI: 1.060-2.219).7.The prevalence of low HDL-C was statistically different between female individuals with rs2470152 Ag / AA genotype and those with GG genotype. After adjusting the influencing factors, the risk of low HDL-C was 0.664 times higher than that with GG genotype, and the difference was statistically significant or = 0.664,P = 0.049,95% CI:0.441-0.999).8.The prevalence of obesity in men with rs726547 Ag / GG genotype was statistically different from that in men with GG genotype. After adjusting the influencing factors, the risk of obesity in men with AA genotype was 1.944 times higher than that in men with Ag + GG genotype(or = 1.944,P = 0.035,95% CI: 1.048-3.608).Conclusions In the middle-aged and old people of different genders in the urban community of Ningxia, the genotype A of rs2470152 is related to the dyslipidemia of men and women, and the genotype A of rs726547 is related to the obesity of men.
