The Effect Of Sleeve Gastrectomy On Obesity With Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of sleeve gastrectomy on obesity with non-alcoholic fatty liver.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 26 obese patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver who underwent complete sleeve gastrectomy for 24 months from April 2013 to October 2017 in Shanxi Bethune Hospital(former Shanxi University Hospital)Follow-up at 1,3,6,12,and 24 months after surgery to analyze the preoperative and postoperative body weight,body mass index(BMI),alanine aminotransfease(ALT),aspartate transaminase(AST),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),and non-alcoholic fatty liver(NAFL).Results:All patients successfully completed sleeve gastrectomy under laparoscopy,and no serious complications occurred after operation.At 1,6,12,and 24 months of follow-up,the weight,BMI,ALT,AST,TG,and TC of patients at each follow-up node were significantly reduced,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).NAFL started to change from 1 month after the operation,and by 6 months after the operation,11 cases of normal NAFL ultrasound results,8 cases of mild,4 cases of moderate,and 3cases of severe,of which the proportion of normal patients was 42.3%;In the 12 months after operation,there were 22 cases with normal NAFL ultrasound results,3 cases with mild conditions,1 case with moderate conditions,and 0 cases with severe conditions.The proportion of normal patients was 84.6%;Results 24 cases were normal,and their proportions were 92.3%.Conclusion:Sleeve gastrectomy is not only a safe and effective treatment for obesity,its weight loss effect is exact,but also a reliable method for the treatment of fatty liver,which can significantly reduce body weight and blood lipids,and reverse fatty liver.
