Objective :To investigate and compare the clinical effect and economic of using long-tube decompression to treat intestinal obstruction with traditional treatment. Methods :A total of 538 patients admitted to the department of gastrointestinal nutrition and hernia surgery in the secon d hospital of jilin university from January 2016 to Novemb er 2018 were enrolled in the study,323 patients with str angulated intestinal obstruction, incomplete medica l records, discharge from hospital within 7 days a fter short-term treatment, severe condition and othe r diseases affecting the overall prognosis were exc luded,The remaining 215 patients met the requirem ents, including 101 male patients and 114 female p atients, aged from 18 to 86 years old, with an a verage age of 58.9 years old,194 patients with c omplete intestinal obstruction,21 patients with incomplete intestinal obstruction, and 70.7% patients w ith a history of abdominal surgery or pelvic surge ry.the relief time of abdominal distention and pain, ope ration rate, total hospitalization time, total hospitaliza tion cost and average daily hospitalization cost were comp ared and analyzed between the long-tube decompression trea tment group and the non long-tube decompression treatment group.ResultsCompared with the non long-tube decompression grou p,the total hospital stay of the long-tube decompr ession group was prolonged and the total hospita l cost was significantly increased, and the differen ce was statistically significant(P < 0.05).there was no significant difference between the two groups in th e time to relieve abdominal pain and abdominal distention, the operation rate and the average daily hospitalization cost(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference betwe en the two groups who were put into the long-tube decompre ssion via fluoroscopic and endoscopy in terms of relief ti me of abdominal distension and pain, proportion of surgical treatment and non-surgical treatment, total length of stay, total cost of stay, average daily cost of stay, ect. Conclusion :The treatment of intestinal obstruction with longtube decompression does not shorten the relief tim e of abdominal pain and abdominal distension, opera tion rate and average daily hospitalization cost,a nd will increase the total hospitalization time an d total hospitalization cost of patients.Therefor e,routine application is not recommended. There wa s no significant difference in the therapeutic effe ct and cost between the two groups who were put into th e long-tube decompression via fluoroscopic and endoscopy.
