Objective1 To understand the status quo of social support,self-efficacy,work engagement and subjective well-being of nursing assistants for the aged and its influencing factors.2 To analyze the correlation among social support,self-efficacy,work engagement and subjective well-being of nursing assistants.3 To explore the specific path of social support,self-efficacy and work engagement to subjective well-being.MethodIn this study,393 nursing assistants who met the acceptance and discharge criteria were selected as the study objects by convenient sampling method.The research tools include:General Information questionnaire,General Well-being Schedule,Social Support Rating Scale,General Self-efficacy Scale and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9.SPSS 21.0software was used for t-test,variance analysis,Pearson correlation,multivariate stepwise analysis;Amos 21.0 was used for path analysis of equation model.Results1 The total score of social support,self-efficacy,work engagement and subjective well-being of nursing assistants(31.51±7.03),(2.64±0.57),(3.47 ± 1.00)and(76.51±11.48)respectively.2 Pearson analysis showed that: social support and self-efficacy were positively correlated(r = 0.488,P < 0.01);social support and work engagement were positively correlated(r = 0.514,P < 0.01);self-efficacy and work engagement were positively correlated(r = 0.464,P < 0.01);social support and subjective well-being were positively correlated(r =0.537,P < 0.01);and there was a positive correlation between nursing assistants' self-efficacy and subjective well-being(r = 0.546,P < 0.01).3 The direct effect of social support and self-efficacy on subjective well-being was0.6075,the indirect effect was 0.2626,and the total effect was 0.8701.The mediating effect of work input on social support,self-efficacy and subjective well-being was 0.2626 ÷ 0.8701 =0.3018,that is,30.18%.4 The work engagement,night shifts per week,self-efficacy,working hours per day,social support,training times per year of nursing assistants entered the regression equation,accounting for 49.7% of the variance of subjective well-being.Conclusion1 The social support,self-efficacy and work engagement of nursing assistants for the aged are in the middle level,and their subjective well-being is in the better level.It shows that nursing assistants need to obtain deep social resources support,strengthen self-efficacy,strengthen positive working state,and pay attention to improving happiness.2 The higher social support and self-efficacy,the higher subjective well-being;the higher work engagement,the higher subjective well-being;the higher social support,self-efficacy and work engagement,the higher subjective well-being.3 Work engagement plays a part in mediating the correlation among social support,self-efficacy and subjective well-being.4 Work engagement,night shifts per week,self-efficacy,working hours per day,social support and training times per year can predict the subjective well-being of nursing assistants.It is suggested that the managers should take corresponding interventions according to these six factors,so as to improve the subjective well-being of nursing assistants.
