A Report On Mock Conference Of Clean Energy Expo China

Nowadays,the world is developing fast,China’s economy is also proceeding quickly.After joining WTO,China became closer to the world,thus leading the need of interpreters in domestic market an explosive increase.As a MTI student,my aim is to effectively and efficiently do the interpreting work.From this mock conference activity,I get to have the basic frame of the conference interpreting.Analyzing the meeting helps me clearly see my disadvantages and ways to improve.On the way of being an interpreter,it is a great treasure for me as a beginner.This thesis consists of an introduction,a main body and a conclusion.Its main contents are as follows:The first part is introduction,which mainly introduces the background of the society;the fundamental motive force of interpreting and translation is the development of China’s economy and continuous communications with the world.The second part is the main body,which is made up of four chapters:The first chapter mainly introduces the relevant knowledge and concepts of the meeting;the development of interpreting;basic information of MTI;introduction of clean energy and Clean Energy Expo China.The second chapter mainly introduces the preparation of the meeting,including terminology and psychological preparation.This conference is a professional one,organizing and remembering vocabularies are important to the interpreter.The third chapter analyzes the practical experience.During the interpreting I use many methods,and I choose three of them for further analyzing,which are energy distribution model and note-taking;conversion of numbers and sentences without subjects.Through analyzing examples,we can see the importance of learning interpreting skills and also enrich the theory.The fourth chapter is the enlightenment of the mock conference,pointing out the good aspects.The last part is conclusion,which is a summary to the preceding critique.This mock conference is successful,but there are also many shortages.I hope through this chance I could improve myself,and become better in the future interpreting road.
