An Analysis Of The Female Consciousness In The Tetralogy Of Four Seasons

Nakamura Shinichiro(1918-1997)is one of the main representative writers of Japan's first "post-war" after the second world war,as Noma Hirosi,Umezaki Haruo,Suina Rinzou.Nakamura Shinichiro creates novels from the reality,psychology,fantasy and other aspects by using the trearn of consciousness and western psychology.Nakamura Shinichiro continues to practice and explore in the creative techniques and he has formed a unique creative style in the post-war Japanese literary world.After the Second World War,the creation of Japanese literary world mainly takes anti-war and peace as the theme,but Part of Nakamura Shinichiro's work focus on the theme of love through the description of female characters.The tetralogy of Four Seasons as his masterpiece,Including Four Seasons,Summer,Autumn,Winter four novels,is considered as life work by Nakamura Shinichiro.And it is created up to nine years.In the Japanese literary world,the trilogy is also renowned,Summer won the Tanizaki Junichiro Award,and Winter won the Japanese Literature Award.Women in the tetralogy of Four Seasons are numerous and vivid,are very compelling.Therefore,based on the theory of gender studies,this thesis decides to analyze and explain the feminine consciousness of the female characters in the tetralogy of Four Seasons by conducting a comprehensive study on the female figures and male characters.This thesis consists of three parts:introduction,theory and conclusion.First of all,it clarifies the research opportunity of this thesis in the introduction.In the post-warJapanese literary world with the theme of anti-war and peace,Nakamura Shinichiro played the opposite way as a male writer,focusing on women.Then,through the research of female characters in Nakamura Shinichiro's works and the tetralogy of Four Seasons,it points out the shortcomings of the study on female characters in the tetralogy of Four Seasons.The study on the female characters in the works of Nakamura Shinichiro is mainly focused on the character traits,symbolic meaning,love and sex of female characters.The study of female characters in the tetralogy of Four Seasons is analyzed on the image of some female characters,and the study of female characters of female is not comprehensive enough.Therefore,this thesis attempts to explore the female consciousness of the female characters of the tetralogy of Four Seasons from the perspective of female characters and male characters.Finally,the research method and significance of this paper are determined.Gender is different from the physiological gender,emphasizes the gender characteristics and differences of both men and women formed,which is different from the traditional concept under the influence of social and cultural factors.Based on the theory of gender Studies,by analyzing the feminine consciousness of feminine characters and synthesizes the male characters' understanding of feminine characters,this paper analyzes the female consciousness of female characters in the tetralogy of Four Seasons.The theory is divided into four chapters.The first chapter takes the main female characters in the tetralogy as the research object,and according to the different female image of female characters to classificate.On the basis of the text analysis of the tetralogy of Four Seasons,I summarized the female characters in the tetralogy as four female types:sacred women,strong women,women of maternal temperament and women of fairy temperament.Through the further analysis of different types of female image,in the second chapter the female consciousness of the four female characters is summarized into three kinds,namely,the subject consciousness,the consciousness of sexual liberation and the consciousness of resistance.These three kinds of female consciousness all reflect the strong side of the female characters in the works.The third chapter explores the female consciousness embodied from the analysis of the male in the tetralogy of Four Seasons.From the perspective of male characters outside the protagonist,women are in control of gender relations.From the perspective of the male of the non-hero,women are in control of the gender relations.It further reflects that the women in the tetralogy of Four Seasons are mighty.But from the hero's point of view,the female character is strong,on the other hand they are very feminine,such as they have maternal temperament.In the fourth chapter,according to the feminine consciousness of the female characters and the view of the male characters in the first two chapters,the female consciousness of the female characters in the works is analyzed comprehensively.The female consciousness in the works is mainly divided into strong type and feminine temperament type.On the basis of this,this paper also analyzes the causes of female consciousness in the four seasons from the perspective of the development of Japanese feminist thought,the education of family and the influence of the author's own character.The conclusion mainly points out that from the perspective of female characters and their female consciousness,the female consciousness of female characters in the tetralogy of Four Seasons can be classified as strong female consciousness.But from the protagonist's understanding of women,the behind of women's strong female consciousness they also have feminine.Women coexisted this kind of strong female consciousness and femininity are the ideal female image of the author.It also affects the shaping of female characters in Nakamura Shinichiro's novel writing.In summary,based on the theory of gender studies,by analyzing the feminine consciousness of female characters and the male characters' understanding of women in the the tetralogy of Four Seasons,this paper explained the the female consciousness of the female characters in a more comprehensive perspective.It is not only a reference value for the study of the female characters in the tetralogy of Four Seasons of Nakamura Shimizu,but also it has some reference significance for further study of the female view of Nakamura Shinichiro.
