| With the success of China’s "Silk Road" and Mongolian’s "Prairie Road",China and Mongolia have conducted in-depth cooperation in political,economic and cultural fields.The number of people who are willing to learn Chinese in Mongolia and China,and to understand Chinese culture and Chinese nationality through learning Chinese are constantly increasing.Chinese characters are a hindrance for Chinese learners in non-Chinese character culture circles.The particularity of Chinese is reflected in the aspect of Chinese characters,which leaves Mongolian students with the stereotype that it is difficult to learn Chinese characters.Such stereotypes exist in their entire learning process,and Mongolian students often shows obvious fear in and resistance to Chinese Characters.In the process of learning Chinese characters,they are often plagued by three problems:difficult to recognize,difficult to remember,and difficult to read.As a Mongolian international student majoring in Chinese international education,the author noticed that due to the difficulties in learning Chinese characters,some Mongolian students would refuse to learn Chinese characters.Some students think that if they can speak Chinese,writing is not important to them and they do not pay attention to learning Chinese characters.At the same time,although many students work hard to learn Chinese characters,they lack effective learning methods,so the learning effect of Chinese characters is not good.In contrast,the use of associative memory in other foreign language teachings has played a very good role in promoting students’ acquisition of vocabulary.Therefore,in this study,the author tried to apply associative memory method in the teaching of Chinese characters to Mongolian students,in the hope to improve their Chinese character learning and Chinese language proficiency..In this study,the author first uses a questionnaire survey to conduct a survey of Mongolian students.The purpose of the investigation is to understand the current status of students’ Chinese characters learning,the methods of learning,and the effects of learning.The statistical analysis of the questionnaire shows that Mongolian students generally have difficulties in learning Chinese characters.They use learning methods such as joint thought in the learning process.Students generally believe that associative memory is an effective method of learning Chinese characters.Based on the above investigation and analysis,the author selected the commonly used Chinese characters in the primary comprehensive I teaching material of Developing Chinese,and deeply discusses the specific application of associative memory from the aspects of pronunciation,meaning,and character form.The phonological associative memory method is to store the same Chinese characters as a piece of sound.The associative memory method uses the meaning of the opposite or similar Chinese characters together to memorize them.The associative memory method of the characters is to establish the connection between the Chinese characters and the shape of the characters.At the end of the paper,the application principles of associative memory method are discussed.In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,the associative memory method can effectively help students to memorize Chinese characters and is highly operable.It can play a positive role in promoting Chinese learning among Mongolian students. |
