Association Between Tone Of Changde Silk String And Changde Dialeck

Changde Silk String is widely circulated in Changde City of Hunan province and is a popular folk art.It spread from Yangtze river area into the Dongting lake area and had about 300 yeas history.In 2006,this silk string was approved on for the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage.This name-Changde Silk String is due to the sing of Changde dialect accompanied with some string instruments like dulcimer,pipa,erhu,three-stringed instrument and so on.Its patterns of manifestation are mainly singing assisted with talking or crossing talking and singing.Changde Silk String has three music structure categories:brand silk string,board silk string and mixed silk string.It is an artistic from closely integrated with language and music which stresses ’sing according to the word cavity’ and ’clear pronunciation and mellow voice’ and avoids ’invert words’ and ’apart sentences’.This paper whose entry point is the interaction relationship between music and language stands on the combination of music itself and linguistics.This thesis explores comprehensively the interaction and mutual relationship between voice and word from tone,rhythm and sentence pattern through field research and music learning and singing with the combined knowledge of phonology,dialectology,ethnomusicology and aesthetics of music.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is "the relationship of Changde Silk String and Changde dialect research",which expounds the historical development process and music features of Changde Silk String.This chapter analyzes the development background of Changde Silk String and the language features of Changde dialect as a whole.The second chapter is "study on the relationship between the tones and cavity word of Changde Silk String".This thesis discusses the associative relation on tone and intonation between Changde Silk String’s singing rhythm and Changde dialect.The rhythm of singing is restricted by language’s tone and intonation.In Changde Silk String music,the amount of works with positive relationship are larger than negative ones in the relationship of voice tone,which approves normalization of Changde Silk String.Light sound tone variation is the special characteristic of Changde dialect.The syllable of light tone is not short and the loudness of a sound is not weak in Changde dialect,which limits the process of singing rhythm in a way.The third chapter is "study on Changde Silk String’s rhythm relationship".It analyzes with examples the restrictive relation among habitual word stress,special word stress,beat stress and voice rhythm.According to the description of "cavity rhythm relations" by Huiyong Yu in Study on The Relationship Between The Cavity Word,to get the positive combination of words must satisfy the following conditions:the voice rhythm position saves its rule meanwhile meets the words’ stress position when habitual word stress,special word stress and voice are combined.Fragmentary sentences are found in "cavity word rhythm section relationship".It refers to words which are divided by lyric meaning,thus the meaning of words is missing.The author analyzed and solved some kind of such problems with instances.The fourth chapter is "study on the relationship of words cavity type in Changde Silk String".Voice and word can be changed in various ways,whose construction specification is not totally fixed but relatively fixed.During this process,it exists some rules.This paper explores the change of word and voice in sentence structure between brand silk string and board silk string from Changde Silk String with examples.
