| In recent years,due to the rapid development of big data,cloud computing,supercomputing,artificial intelligence and other technologies,human society has gradually entered an era of intelligence explosion.Therefore,we need to understand the origin of artificial intelligence and think about where it will take us.The book Life3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence begins with the origins of artificial intelligence,the universe,and life,exploring the fate of the universe and humankind in the context of artificial intelligence.The original text of this report is selected from the sixth chapter of the book.It mainly explains the potential resources of the universe,what the super life of the next billion years can do with the resources in the solar system and how to get more resources through space immigration.The text of translation material contains many terms and sentences with complex and diverse structure,which are difficult to translate.With specific examples of translation,the author analyzes the difficulties in the translation of vocabularies,attributive clauses,passive sentences,and long sentences from both lexical and syntactic levels and in the dealing with dashes.The translation skills used for vocabularies include the determination of terms,the choice and extension of word meanings,and the transformation of parts of speech.For difficult sentences,the author has adopted a variety of translation techniques such as attributive postposition,attributive adverbialization,changes from passive to initiative,reverse translation and sentence splitting.Through translation practice,the author has not only increased translation ability,but also enriched the knowledge and broadened horizons. |
