Brief Discussion Of The Role-shaping Of The Actor In <First Date>

Musical First Date premiered in the LongacreTheater of Broadway on August 4^th,2013.It takes a blind date as an entry point,based on the lively and humorous tone presenting the realistic reflection to the social condition of that time.Many musical elements of different styles are blended into this play.The author of this essay,acting in this play in 2017,takes it as the example,and through own performance experience to explore and study the thesis.This paper is divided into three parts to present the discussion from different angles.In chapter one,taking this musical as example,three different singing styles are used to shape the image of the hero;Chapter two analyses how to shape the image of leading actor from the angles of the external body movements of performance arts and internal emotion of the characters.Chapter three analyses how to shape the characters of this play from the angles of line arts.
