This article takes the Chen Yongjin's watercolor art work as the research object.Chen Yongjin is a famous contemporary watercolor artist.Through the interpretation of Chen Yongjin's growth experience and watercolor art works,author analyzed the formation of watercolor art and the expression of emotion in watercolor art,demonstrated the value and significance of emotional expression in painting.Finally,the author expressed the inspiring of Chen Yongjin's art works to the he development of Chinese watercolor art and the influence to his way of painting.Through the collection and combing of Chen Yongjin's artistic experience,social background,learning history,aesthetic interest,emotional experience,and artistic conception,we know that the formation of Chen Yongjin's watercolor art was affected by his social background,emotional experience,and Liu Shouxiang's(Chen Yongjin's teacher)influence.Of course,it has a big relationship with his attention and thought to the real life,and emotion expression of his artworks.While exploring the technical language,ChenYongjin pays more attention to the expression of cultural connotation and the expression of spiritual emotion.Therefore,his watercolorhas special significance and value.We can discover that ChenYongjin had not only simply performed a brief description of the subject,but also had injected many of his own emotional expressions to still life or scenery,then displayedthis emotion through his works.Thus,his still life or scene painting is an expression of creative state,not a reproducible expression.From the research of Chen Yongjin's paintings on the subject,form and emotion,we can find out the specific presentation of his artworks and pay attention to the value of his watercolor art.
