| Self processing and reward processing are hot topics in cognitive neuroscience research.It has been found that self processing and reward processing overlap in three regions,including nucleus accumbens(NACC),ventromedial prefrontal cortex(VMPFC)and ventral tegmental area(VTA).As the study finds that self expression can activate the reward neural network,self reflection can adjust the evaluation stage of reward processing.There are two stages of reward processing: reward anticipation and result evaluation.In this study,we continue to explore the influence of self processing on reward processing,pay attention to reward anticipation,and study the influence of self reflection on reward anticipation by using ERP.In Experiment 1,self-and other-reflection task and money incentive delay task(MID)were used to explore how self reflection affects reward anticipation.The experiment was designed for 2(reflection type: self and other)×2(emotion valence: positive and negative)×3(cue type: reward,loss,no reward and loss).On the basis of Experiment 1,experiment 2 further explored the influence of emotional valence in self reflective information in the task,using self-and other-reflection task and MID task.Experiment 2 was 2(emotion valence: neutral,negative)×3(cue type: reward,loss,no reward and loss)in the interior design.The results are as follows:Firsty,The response times of reward cue and loss cue is faster significantly than no reward and loss cue.There is no significant difference in the response times of reward cue and loss cue.Secondly,it was found that the reward cue had the highest pleasantness,and there was significant difference between the reward cue and the no reward and loss cue,as well as the loss cue.Thirdly,the degree of preparation of the cue of the reward and loss cue was significantly higher than the no reward and loss cue.Fourthly,for P300 amplitude self reflection evoked larger than other-reflection in the loss condition.Fifthly,for P300 amplitude neutral reflection evoked bigger than negatitive reflection in the no reward and loss condition.To sum up,this study using self-and other-reflection task and MID task combined with ERP technology to provide an empirical reference for exploring the functional connection between self processing and reward processing network.In Experiment 1 we found that self reflection makes the individual more sensitive to the loss anticipation,but not emotional effect and the influence of self processing on feedback.In Experiment 2 we did not found that the negative emotion,and the same as experiment 1 the influence of self processing on feedback is not found.According to the relationship model of self processing and reward processing,self processing has an impact on the expected stage of reward processing,and does not affect the feedback results.There are three types of self processing and reward processing:Integration of Self and Rward Mode,Segregation Between Self and Rward Mode and Parallel processing of the Self Along the Reward Continuum mode.The self processing and reward processing signals overlap at the earlier stage and and the structural relationship between them is Parallel Processing of the Self Along the Reward Continuum. |
