Since the documentary《400 million people》 which reflected China’s Anti-Japannese,Joris Ivens had a long friendship with China.In later years he has repeatedly come to China,used the camera to record the different period of China,《Early Spring》,《Six Hundred Million People》,《How Yukong Moved the Mountains》,《A Tale Of The Wind》and other films in the record Chinese society in different periods of history unique fragments but also promoted our country’s documentary film career,he made great contribution on Chinese image in the international setting.The first chapter mainly analyzes 《400 Million People》,through the records of a large number of people fleeing the bombing,mobilization and the struggle scenes,the film vividly and profoundly reflected people’s Anti Japanese spirit China painful experiences and the reproduction of Evans who refused to be cowed or submitted,in the eyes of the violent Anti Japanese suffering Chinese image.The second chapter mainly analyzes and interprets the《Early Spring》series documentary made by Evans in China in 1950 s.The documentary poetic voice picture revealed on the new Chinese and for the future development of the new China vision Evans loved in mind and peace China image poor and blank a thousand things waited to be done.The third chapter mainly analyzes the documentary series 《How Yukong Moved the Mountains》.Through more in-depth record close,Evans the documentary records with Antonioni documentary 《China》 was not the same,but the same was basically true Chinese social reality.Especially in the 《ball story》as an example,a detailed analysis of Evans during the filming of this documentary series in the process of shooting skills and ideas,how to show a different kind of reality Chinese.The last chapter mainly analyzes and interprets the story of a documentary film 《A Tale Of The Wind》,which was photographed in 1980 s.The documentary creation self reflective approach,which is full of dreams,through time and space and historical metaphor,vivid and profound implied Evans and his China complex after the reform and development of the China effort perception and grasp the reality.This paper is based on the relationship between the film and the Evans Chinese image as the research perspective,using the combination of literature and history methods,analysis of the inquiry,Evans films,and thus more comprehensive grasp of Chinese image in the film,in order to analyse Evans′s shoot style more rationally and twentieth Century Chinese.
