| Chu art is an important part of Chinese ancient culture.Since theseventies of the last century,a large number of Chu tombs have been found centered around Hubei,Hunan and Henan.It not only makes the world see the rich remains of Chu culture more than 2000 years ago,but also attracts experts and scholars from different feilds at home and abroad to demonstrate and study it.Among these chu cultural relics,there are many exquisite,beautiful and vivid animal images,among which the image of the tiger has its unique and rich variety of shapes and symbolic meanings.Its style combines rigidity and softness,on theone hand symbolizes the spirit of self-improvement,on the other hand,stay harmony with nature emphasizes the intergration of "heaven".This paper starts with the characteristics of tiger image and with the historical background of Chu state,and the characteristics of Chu art,and then analyzes the contributing factors of tiger image evolution,and explores its aesthetic significance and reflecting ideas;Bycomparing a large numberof archaeological sites excavated objects and the related literature,combined with the tiger totem worship to analysis the relationship between the image and people of faith,fully describe the origin of the tiger image,tiger image reflects the folk customs and artistic value.The first part of this article first defines the geographical environment and historical situation of the tiger image generation in the art of Chu,and then studies the origins of the tiger image and the martial spirit of the Chu people;The second part from the terror of the shang dynasty tiger exaggerated image to the western zhou dynasty of image,to the clever and beautiful in the spring and autumn warring states period with image and the unity of han tiger image,so as to reveal the tiger image from the concrete to the image of the evolution rules;The third part clarifies the spiritual connotation and aesthetic value of the image of the tiger in the Chu art. |
