| Liu Dakui was one of the representatives of Tongcheng School,and was called"Three Ancient of Tongcheng " with Fang Bao and Yao Nai.On the basis of absorbing the previous theories and experiences,he proposed creatively the theory of "Shen Qi"of ancient Chinese,and applied it to the field of poetry to guide his own poetry creation.This thesis is based on the "Shen Qi" of Liu Dakui’s poem and begins with three chapters:The first chapter explains the connotation of "Shen Qi" in detail.First,it points out that as two independent concepts "Shen" and "Qi" had long history,and later developed into a pair of important category in ancient Chinese literary theory.On this basis,Liu Dakui Further advocated the theory of "Shen Qi"."Shen Qi" is the embodiment of the author’s personality ideology and spiritual quality.It must rely on"syllables" and "words and phrases" to be implemented.Secondly,it seeks for the embodiment of "Shen Qi" in Liu Dakui’s poetic criticism,based on his 28 poetry anthology preface.The second chapter focuses on analyzing the performance of the Shen Qi in poetry,which is the key chapter of the thesis.Poetry is a reflection of objective things and is also a product of spiritual activities.When projected in actual poetry creation,the poem’s "Shen Qi" is embodied in four aspects:upright and tolerant and open-minded ethos;generous and powerful style;a syntactic structure that is coherent and fluent;language that is idiomatic and be harmonious in syllable.The third chapter discusses the reasons why Liu Dakui proposed the theory of"Shen Qi",which conduct the research mainly on three aspects:the theoretical origins,the inheritance of the teachers,and the influence of concept that poetry is similar to prose.Thereinto,the theoretical origins of the "Shen Qi" theory includes:the theory of Shen and Qi in the Six Dynasties and the past;Comment on essays by using the Qi of the ancient Chinese writer in Tang and Song Dynasties;Comment on essays by using the Shen of the Tang-Song School in Ming Dynasty;the theory of Verve. |
