At present,many cities take industrialization development as the core,which directly results in the city functions,scale expansion,urban environment and such assimilation development malady.Long term as that,the city's history and culture,regional culture will be ignored by people,which makes cities similar.A city with unique brand culture and distinctive brand image could differ from the other cities in order to achieve the prominent vision.A visual image system of a good city brand plays a crucial role in its development process.It not only could improve the city's comprehensive competitiveness,but also strengthen the core cohesion and reflect the unique city culture.Unprecedented development of China's urbanization in recent years,not a few cities successively set up the brand image system and constantly sum up experience and lessons at the same time to explore actively,innovate bravely,and look for the appropriate development direction.In the future,there will be more cities which would realize the importance of the city brand image construction.This article will revolve around the research and analysis in the theme of city brand image design.Starting from the theory and gradual advance,the first half expounds the importance of city brand image design in the development of modernized cities,which is based on the concepts and features of brand visual system of city brand and the research and analysis of related case in research status at home and abroad.Based on the practice,the second half firstly starts from the city brand image design of Wu Han city(in Hu Bei province)with the early investigation of the city.From the perspective of city brand image visual system,thinking and research are combined with the regional characteristics,history and culture,local conditions and customs of Wu Han and so on aspects.Then through the analysis of city brand image in nowadays Wu Han to find that the existing city symbol is hard to express the feeling of the city to the people,it may establish a new city brand image system with aiming at the deficiency of its design.Finally,the article summarizes the theoretical analysis in the early stage and the city card design of Wu Han.
