WebQuest was invented by Bernie Dodge in 1995.As a new style teaching mode,WebQuest teaching mode has already been used more and more widely in different teaching scenes all over the world.The key thoughts of it is to adequately use the powerful rich network resources to support the teachers'teaching activities.That is,On the platform of Internet,use a new teaching mode to promote the development of thinking faculty(including the junior faculty the senior thinking faculty)of the students.Therefore,the writer here relies On English courses to discuss the basic theory of how to use the teaching mode of the WebQuest and make the technique of English courses fit each other effectively.So as to improve the effect of the teaching result.Since WebQuest is best suited for teaching topics with inconclusive and diverse answers,it is also particularly suitable for students with more involved courses.As a language subject,English requires students to invest in the classroom atmosphere in the teaching process.Students are required to play a character or virtualize a dialogue scene for the student.Using WebQuest for teaching not only enhances students' enthusiasm in learning,but also makes learning more purposeful and directional so that students can actively study.Compared with the common teaching model,WebQuest can better exercise the students' logical thinking ability,and has a great benefit to students' self-learning ability through the Internet.Based on the two points of WebQuest and junior high school English teaching,this article explores and discusses the application of WebQuest in junior high school English using the methods of literature inquiry,questionnaire survey and face-to-face interview,and analyzes whether WebQuest has applicable foundation and value in junior high school English teaching.According to the teaching situation,several classes of the school were selected to conduct inquiry and teaching planning,and to conduct WebQuest research under the network environment.Finally,the survey results of the questionnaire were statistically analyzed.Aiming at the problems that WebQuest discovers in the actual teaching process,it makes improvement plans and provides a basis for the use of WebQuest in junior high school English teaching.
