Among Chinese modern and contemporary literary works,Chen Zhongshi’s White Deer Plain can be said to be a milestone work in the creation of a long novel. The novel’s text of more than half a million words has given scholars a wide range of textual criticism and deep textual research value. Therefore,White Deer Plain has been devoted to its academic strength, rich ideological content and aesthetic connotation. The study of its text has never stopped.Based on the close reading of the text, the author found that in the White Deer Plain among the characters in the historical transformation period,“Body Discourse” can be used as a perspective to explore the body language under realistic context.Based on an in-depth study of the text, this article teases out the body language of the novel’s characters and consults relevant literature materials. In conjunction with related“body discourse” research papers, the paper uses the “body” as an entry point for essay writing. The article is divided into three parts, and the three chapters have a certain logical relationship. The first chapter first established that the body as the subject has unlimited topical extensibility. The chapters are selected into three perspectives, which are illustrated by physical expression, libido, and spatiality.About body expression,Libido mainly discusses how the body works in another body.Space means that the body is in contact with the real world around the clock. It can be seen in the body’s reproductive worship and ancestor worship. The original social features of the White Deer can reflect the spatial meaning of the existence of the “Ancestral Temple”.The overall tone of the second chapter is to reflect on the various behavioral activities of the physical existence. The body as an object is changeable and malleable. It will be shaped and produced by power, implying the entanglement of multiple discourses.Among them, the three perspectives of “patriarchy,”“beauty,” and “power” were chosen to illustrate how the body’s morality, overwhelming patriarchal power, and absorptive power, respectively, were placed in object positions and disciplined. The third chapter discusses the aesthetic significance of the body. The body images such as madness, death, and collapsing back in the novel “The White Deer” are not only exist as a physical phenomenon, but also have rich metaphorical meaning. The “body”as to the ultimate value transmission of the text is to explore how individuals construct themselves as the main body of ethics through their own concerns. The meaning of the article is intended to focus on the “body”and on the value of“human” subjectivity. From the perspective of the new theory, the repetition of traditional research’s attention to “human” and simple continuation deserves reflection. At the immediate level,in literary works, body discourse is mostly embodied in the patterns of“sex” and “desire”.The text White Deer Plain is no exception. However, how body discourse captures the meaning of the “soul” is rich in meaning. Is the value of article writing. From a diachronic perspective, the body has similar and different experiences in different social contexts. The nature of consumerism in current social life gives the body special attention, and the ultimate goal of reflection and reflection on various issues related to the body is to obtain the hope of an autonomous body.
