Global Chinese fever continues to heat up,and the number of Chinese learners and teachers of Chinese as a foreign language is also increasing every year.With the increase in the number of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language,the issue of improving the quality of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language has aroused public concern.At present,most of the studies on the quality of Chinese as a foreign language teachers remain on the issue of “what qualities foreign teachers should have”.In the study of this issue,there are teachers’ perspectives and the use of educational narrative research methods to define the quality of teachers.There is also a student’s point of view,defined in the form of a questionnaire survey of student needs.As a result,the definition of “Quality of Chinese as a Foreign Language” is ambiguous and incomplete.This study takes Maslow’s Demand Theory,Teacher Quality Theory,Second Language Teaching Goal Theory and the Chinese International Teacher Quality Standard System formulated by the country as the theoretical foundation,and stands on the perspective of teachers and students in terms of what quality teachers of foreign languages ??should possess."Discussions were made.Among the teachers’ surveys,three types of identities were taught to foreign teachers.In the part of student surveys,the “Getter” questionnaire was used to investigate90 South Asian and Southeast Asian students’ pedagogical knowledge of Chinese language as well as psychological knowledge,teacher’s ability to use the language,teaching ability,teachers of Chinese as a foreign language.The five aspects of cultural accomplishment,teachers’ morality and quality,and good habits.The theoretical derivation and analysis of this study’s integrated phase,through the results of empirical investigations and studies andthe absence of current core competencies for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language,can provide a concrete description of the qualities that teachers of Chinese as a foreign language should have,and finally strengthen the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The training of core qualities provides suggestions.
