Yu Dafu is an important writer of Chinese new literature. His novels have opened a precedent for self-lyricism,represented the highest achievement of self-lyricism,and have had a profound influence on the then and later writers. This article examines the characteristics of Yu Dafu’s self-lyric literature from three aspects:textual intertextuality, spatial imagery, and tension effects. The first part:The citation and insertion inside the text absorbs the emotional clues of other texts, which greatly enhances the effect of lyricism. The inheritance of the poetic tradition of the old style poetry is founded on the sensation. The bridge between the "poetry and romance" tradition and the use of styles such as diary letters in the creation of novels have made the lyrical subjects more able to express their ambitions. The second part starts with the space consciousness, and explores the three spaces of "dwelling place","pub" and "sacred dream" that Yu Dafu’s self-lyric novels often appear,so as to thoroughly explore Yu Dafu’s self-esteem.The Novel’s Lyric Mechanism and Aesthetic Ideal. The first part is divided into three sections. The first section discusses the citations and insertions of texts that absorb the emotional cues of other texts, which greatly enhances the effect of lyricism. The second part discusses the novel’s inheritance of the poetic tradition of old-style poems. The third part discusses the use of other styles, such as diary and letters. The text aims to demonstrate Yu Dafu’s unique aesthetic tension and aesthetic meaning through the exploration of the specific text forms generated by"lyricism" and the space of its inherent expression image,so as to stabilize the value and status of Yu Dafu’s self-lyric novel in the history of literature.
