Research On Saxophone Altissimo Skills

By studying the background and development process of saxophone altissimo performance since 1940 s,and combining with many years’ playing experience,this research analyzes and summarizes the theory and techniques such as vocal principle,mouth shape and breath,general tone practice and so on.It provides theoretical support for saxophone performance;It provides a practical basis for the technical development and popularization of saxophone.Based on the above considerations of a practice,this paper makes a systematic analysis of the saxophone altissimo performance,which provides a method to present the saxophone altissimo in a music work.The study helped the saxophone players realize the importance of altissimo.It is an inevitable trend for the development of saxophone performance to master this technique,which plays a positive role in the development and promotion of saxophone performance.
