| "Production-oriented Approach(POA)" is put forward by Professor Wen Qiufang and is constantly adjusted and developed over the years. The teaching principles of production-oriented approach include ’learning-centered’,’learning-using integration’,’cultural exchange’ and ’key ability’.With ’output-driven’,’input-enabled’,’selective learning’ and ’evaluation for teaching’ as teaching hypotheses, the theory divides teaching processes into motivating, enabling, and assessing, which form a circular chain. This thesis tries to figure out the evaluation of interpreting majors on English-Chinese consecutive interpreting courses and hopes to summarize several pieces of advice on the further improvement of such courses from students’ perspective. To this end,a questionnaire survey targeted at interpreting majors at postgraduate level in a Beijing university is carried out,so do interviews with six students of different grade, research direction and gender. In light of Production-oriented Approach, the thesis aims to understand the evaluation of students, recipients of teaching contents and learners of English-Chinese consecutive interpreting,so as to provide useful reference for the future teaching of English-Chinese consecutive interpreting.Through questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview,it is found that students generally attach importance to communicative content in terms of the motivating phase, but they hope that such content can be added without affecting the teaching efficiency. From the aspect of enabling, current class exercises can stimulate students’passion for learning, but the immediate use of input materials is limited. In terms of assessing, the current evaluation frequency cannot meet students’ needs,so various evaluation forms should be adopted to perform targeted evaluation. |
