| Zhenyun Liu,one of the most famous contemporary writers of China,has a higher capacity of style awareness,philosophical consciousness and creative spirit.Although he has written a large quantity of novels,which have a great time span,it’s difficult for us to explore his treacherous ways of literary techniques and context.He has changed his way of thinking from time to time,however,the humorous consciousness,which is the quintessence of his thinking,has never been changed.His humorous consciousness is a way of living,which helps people in our nation go through hardworking sorrow and loneliness.At present,the research of his novels is reflected in five aspects: ideology,theme selection,artistic style,narrative style and humanity.The research on his literary thoughts focus on civilian consciousness and awareness of existence,but the research on his humorous consciousness has some limitations because it only involves some of his novels I Did Not Kill My Husband,One Sentence Counts for Ten Thousands and Lost and Found.Scholars in China has explored the causes and the artistic techniques,but they haven’t teased out the effects of humorous consciousness on literary creation.Therefore,this thesis attempts to take his humorous consciousness as the main line,make an analysis of its cultural origin,explore its relationship with Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism from the macroscopic point of view and its effects on the theme selection,image-shaping and narrative arts from microcosm point of view.Then,the thesis attempts to explore the humanistic care in his humorous conscience contained in his novels.Furthermore,it attempts to broaden the perspective research angle from the horizontal and explore the ideological from the vertical.Besides the introduction and conclusion,the body consists of five parts:The first chapter points out the connotation of his humorous consciousness in novels and make an analysis of its origin from Chinese and western culture.This chapter reveals that his humorous consciousness contains various connotation which means “Li” in Chinese affected by Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism and his way of living.The second chapter exposes that the humorous consciousness in his novel has great effects on the theme selection.The writer chooses three main subjects as the themes: the turns of fate,the alienation of human nature and the emotional apathy.The people’s tragedy is caused by the official standard thoughts and the moral standard of Confucianism.Civilians and heroes are both history unification,but the civilians can never get rid of the tragic fate.The alienation of public power originated in centralism which leads to alienation of human nature.With the development of technology,people’s emotional distance has been deepened by using telephones and USB flash disks.The third chapter explores that the humorous consciousness in his novels affects the characterization.In this chapter,the thesis focuses on three types of image molded by the author: the lost for value of existence,the enthusiast for power,the loners losing trust.All of them are tragedies because they can’t cast off the “dilemma of fate”,therefore,they need to use humorous consciousness to resolve the harshness of life.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the characteristics of narrative art which involves three types of artistic skills: comedy contrasts tragedy,situation irony and parody in his novels.By using the colloquial words,twist words and the dislocation languages to strengthen the effects of tragedy by contrast of the comedy so as to dispel the traditional historical conception.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the effects of his humorous consciences on humanistic care which involves both collective and individual in his novels.His experience of life is the cradle for his writing and thinking.Zhenyun Liu,with the original intention of conscience and responsibility in his writing,maintains a compassionate attitude to the masses at the bottom of society. |
