The Confucius Institute is a non-profit teaching institution established in many countries and regions around the world to teach Chinese and promote Chinese culture.It is an important platform for international cultural exchanges.There are two Confucius Institutes in University of Dhaka and North South University in Bangladesh.For a long time,the Chinese and Bangladeshi teachers of the two Confucius Institutes in Bangladesh have actively explored the Chinese teaching model based on Chinese teaching practice and academic research.Attempts have yielded many results,but some problems have inevitably arisen.In this paper,we use literature research method,questionnaire method,interview method and summary induction method to study the teaching status of Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka in Bangladesh from the four aspects of students,teachers,teaching materials and teaching methods.The data was researched and analyzed,and the existing problems in the Confucius Institute were found to propose corresponding improvement measures.This paper consists of four parts.The first part mainly introduces the research purpose,research significance,research content and research methods,and summarizes the status of nationalized Chinese teaching and related literature such as higher Chinese teaching in Bangladesh.The second part is mainly to design the questionnaire part of the Chinese teaching status of Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka in Bangladesh,including the purpose and significance of the survey,the object and method of the survey and the design and implementation of the content.The third part is mainly the statistics and analysis of the survey data of the Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.The fourth part is to analyze the problems existing in the Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka in Bangladesh on the basis of data analysis.For example,the teaching content is old and lacks innovation;the types of teaching materials are few and lack of pertinence;the teaching mode and practice form are single.Lack of flexibility;the faculty is not stable enough,and the professional level needs to be improved.Finally,it puts forward the diversification of curriculum,pays attention to the reasonable updating of knowledge;actively develops practical teaching materials and enhances pertinence;from the practicality of classroom teaching,using rich and vivid teaching modes and flexible and diverse training methods;improving teachers’ teaching quality and ensuring teaching Corresponding countermeasures such as quality provide effective assistance for the future development of the Confucius Institute.
