A Study On Confucianism Contained In Huizhou Woodcut Printmaking

Huizhou engraving industry is very developed in Ming and Qing dynasties,the development of Huizhou woodcut printmaking can not be separated from the profound influence of Confucian enlightenment thought.Confucian thought of enlightenment is an important part of Confucian culture,the so-called "enlightenment",that is,"to enlighten the people","to teach the Daomin" meaning.China’s emphasis on moral education has a history of long time and education as an important means to govern society.This paper starts with the form of woodcut printmaking in Huizhou and progresses in layers.Through the preliminary understanding of the form and engraver of Huizhou woodcut prints,the influence of Confucian enlightenment thought was excavated.Combining the Confucian ideological content of Huizhou woodcut prints with relevant literature drawings,this paper analyzes the concrete contents of Confucian enlightenment thought in Huizhou woodcut printmaking,and probes into the detailed analysis of the Confucian teaching thought,the object of Enlightenment and the Practice of enlightenment,so as to analyze the depth of Huizhou woodcut printmaking,It provides valuable resources for the study of local folklore and regional cultural content.This paper probes into and ponders the actual functions embodied in Huizhou woodcut prints,correctly understanding the cultural value of Huizhou art,so as to better protect Huizhou woodcut prints,inherit and carry forward Huizhou woodcut prints.
